Karl Marx was born in 1818 in the Rhineland. He studied law and philosophy in Bonn and Berlin, before he was forced out of university by his radicalism. He then became a journalist, moved to Paris, and then Brussels.
Because of his radical thinking, he was exiled to London in 1849.
