MPACE Privacy Policy

The Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE) respects the privacy of its members and visitors. The following components of the MPACE privacy policy explain its practices for gathering and using information from members and visitors to its website.

  1. Outside Websites

The MPACE website contains links to other sites. MPACE is not responsible for the privacy practices of such websites. Inclusion of links to an outside website is not an endorsement of the outside website or a guarantee that the information it contains is accurate.

  1. Forms

Members may be asked to use an online form to register an opinion, or register for a conference or program. These forms may include:

  • Contact information (such as phone number or e-mail address)

  • Unique identifiers (such as MPACE username or password)

  • Financial information (such as credit card number)

  • Demographic information (for example, location, type and size of organization)

Contact information from these forms is used only for the purposes noted on the form. Unique identifiers (specifically, password or username) are collected from MPACE members to verify the user’s identity and for use in MPACE’s record system. Information from these forms is also used by MPACE to send members information about products, services, conferences, and other information that may be of interest. Members not wanting to receive mailings (regular or electronic) from MPACE should change their personal profile to “opt-out” on the website.

  1. Mailing Labels/E-mail Addresses

MPACE does not provide any e-mail addresses that it collects on its website to any individual or organization for any purpose, including commercial. MPACE uses the information collected to improve the content of its website, enhance existing services and member benefits, and plan for new services and member benefits. While encryption is used to protect sensitive information online, MPACE also does everything in its power to protect user information off-line. Access to all users’ personally identifiable information – not just the sensitive information mentioned above – is restricted to only the MPACE members who need the information to perform a specific task (for example, billing assistance or customer service representative). The MPACE website uses firewalls to protect from loss, misuse and alteration of the information under its control.
