He averaged 21.7 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game. Swanson led all scorers against a win over IU-South Bend with 28 points on 13-18 shooting and 10 rebounds. In the Terry Polston Hoops for Hope Classic (hosted by Grace), Swanson helped Grace College upset #11 Cornerstone University. He scored 17 points and 11 rebounds. In the finals against NAIA DI Robert Morris, he scored 20 points and 12 rebounds. The Lancers captured the title and Swanson was named the Tournament MVP. He was also named the Mid-Central College Conference Player of the Week.

In the first game, Kinsey scored a game high 20 points in a victory over NCAA III Messiah College. He also recorded six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. In the championship game, Kinsey tallied a game high 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals in a victory over NCAA III Dickinson College. He was also named the tournament MVP.
