The SOS Safety Scholarship is a yearly $5000 bursary created to motivate youth across the country to get involved in building safer communities.

  students must creatively prepare and upload an essay, action plan, or resource guide that outlines prevention of the social issues covered in the magazine. For example Bullying, Suicide, Gang/ Youth Violence, Drug Addiction, and so on.

 Johnson will award 50 scholarships each valued at $1,000 to students attending a post-secondary educational institution in Canada in the fall of 2015.      

Applicants must fall into one of the following categories:

  have a parent/guardian or grandparent who is a member/employee of a Johnson sponsor/client group; or be a child/grandchild of a employee

Atlantic Credit Unions offer 44 $500 bursaries, distributed to community college students in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador each year. Applications are posted to the college’s awards pages with submission deadlines varying by school (generally mid to late October).
