Position Title: Grants Manager
Position: Full time
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful grant proposals, with at least three years of solid grant writing experience. Minimum four year college degree required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and experience in budget management are essential. Ability to work effectively with professionals, non-professionals, and volunteers in a collaborative environment. Strong computer skills, including Internet research, Word, Excel and Outlook. Demonstrated concern for vulnerable populations. Willingness to learn all aspects of food banking and to be an ardent spokesperson for hunger relief. Ability to work comfortably in a multi-tasking environment for extended periods of time.
General Description of the Position: Responsible for maximizing grant funding from multiple sources by researching funding opportunities, writing and submitting compelling grant requests, maintaining gift records, submitting required reports, and building and maintaining relationships with grantors.
Principal Activities of the Position:
1. Conducts ongoing research for grant opportunities from local, regional and national foundations, corporations, civic organizations, government agencies, and Feeding America.
2. Works with all relevant MANNA staff to produce and submit complete grant proposals, follow-up reports and correspondence to various funding sources in a thoughtful, professional, and timely manner.
3. Utilizes Donor Perfect software to calendar all submittals and maintain accurate records of grant submissions, awards, and contacts.
4. Maintains positive working relationships with all grant source representatives.
5. Prepares and submits monthly or as needed reports on grant activities and forecasts of future funding to the Chief Development Officer.
6. Participates in Development Department meetings, special events, and various fundraising or food banking activities as directed by senior management.
7. Works in cooperation and consultation with the Chief Financial Officer.
8. Accepts whatever duties and responsibilities that may be appropriate to ensure the success of
MANNA FoodBank.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
MANNA offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a generous PTO program, 401K, Health, Dental, & Vision plans.
Starting salary range for this position is $35,000 - $40,000/Yr. (This position offers the option of reduced schedule of 35 – 40 hours/week - negotiable)
