As they entered the IB, their most feared subject area was Economics, with 2nd language study a close runner-up; their most enjoyable subject area was pretty well tied between Math & Science, with The Arts a close 3rd;

Throughout their high school careers, these IB learners have taken over 640 advanced placement examinations in 12 different subject areas;

Our IB Diploma Programmes have a collective SAT Avg. of 590 in Reading, 610 in Math and 580 in Writing and an ACT composite average of 28;

The average grade point average is: 3.6 unweighted;

Collectively they have conducted original research in 11 different subject areas: Biology, Chemistry, Dance, English, Film, History, Information Technology, Mathematics, Music, Visual Arts and World Religions;

Collectively, they have just completed sitting for a total of 352 examinations in 17 different standard level subjects; and, 433 examinations in 14 different higher level subjects;

If chosen today, their major area of study in college would be – business, engineering or health professions;

When asked, their strongest learner profile attribute is: either balanced or open-minded;

The attribute that they feel they have to improve upon is: risk-taker;

When asked if they were glad that they did the IB program: 5% responded no, 13% said unsure and 82% said yes;

Whether they plan on living in Sarasota as an adult: 13% responded yes, 33% stated unsure, and 54% said no
College Action Report – Riverview IB Diploma Class of 2013
2012-13 was quite possibly the most challenging year for university admissions in memory. Acceptance rates to university’s everywhere, by and large, were the lowest percentage ever.
It is within this context that the 134 Riverview IB Diploma Candidates submitted –
-
546 university applications -- and received 458 offers of admission -- for an acceptance rate of 84%
-
The Diploma Candidates will attend 40 different higher education institutions in 13 states, the District of Columbia, and 2 countries, other than the United States;
-
25% of our Diploma Candidates will be leaving the state of Florida for university studies –
The following states will each welcome 1 of our student’s:
-
Alabama, Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Rhode Island and Texas;
-
2 students will travel to the District of Columbia;
-
2 to Georgia;
-
2 to Virginia and
-
2 out of the country (1 to Thailand and 1 to The Netherlands);

3 students will go north to Massachusetts
-
and 3 to New York;
-
4 will venture to California
-
and 4 to North Carolina
In the state of Florida, our diploma candidates will attend 13 different universities:
