The field: proper drainage is required. The goal would be to improve drainage and make it usable to students with the possibility of adding a community garden at the far end. Discussed the possible involvement of the Moncton City Hospital to help fund a community garden.
Michelle will look into tentative cost involved in getting proper drainage.
Janice will look into getting involvement from “The Right to Play” and “Hope Grows”.
Sports/activities – discussed changing the model to include more students. Moving away from sports teams and towards a model similar to the current ball hockey program where any student can participate and students play after school. This would allow more students to be able to be included and exposed to more activities.
Attempts will be made to involve more parents or community volunteers to help make more activities available to students.
Atlantic Super Store dietitians are available to speak to students AND parents on the topic of healthy lunches and snacks. This could be another opportunity to connect with QE families.
