Matt Alleshouse to Executive Sous Chef

promotion
of
Matt
Alleshouse
as executive sous chef.
Alleshouse moves into his new role after heading the culinary effort at the resort’s Bali Steak
& Seafood ocean front restaurant since 2011. Bali Steak & Seafood is the culinary landmark at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, and has been named a Four-Diamond Restaurant by the Automobile Association of America (AAA) for 24 consecutive years.
Prior to joining Hilton Hawaiian Village, Alleshouse served as executive chef/food and beverage director at the Radisson Hotel Yuma in Yuma, Ariz. He also owned and operated Urban Chefs AZ, a catering consulting company specializing in menu design and restaurant concepts. Alleshouse also has had prior experience with Smith Hospitality, EuroFresh Farms, and within the Hilton Family at the Arizona Biltmore, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel. One of Alleshouse’s career highlights came in 2004 with the opportunity to cook at the esteemed James Beard House in New York City as part of the Arizona Biltmore team. He earned an associate degree at the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts.
In his new position at Hilton Hawaiian Village, Alleshouse will join Executive Chef Jeffrey Vigilla in overseeing the resort’s culinary operations, including restaurants, lounges, special events and catered functions. Hilton Hawaiian Village features 16 restaurants, lounges and bars, including the Bali Steak & Seafood Restaurant, popular beachside eatery Tropics Bar & Grill and the Pronto Pickle to-go restaurant.
