Wednesday, June 17:
9:00am - 4:30pm; breakfast on your own prior to start at 9:00am Six hours of Fiscal training, to be broken into four 90-minute sessions, with breaks and box lunch in between; refreshments during breaks and box lunch provided, dinner on your own
Training provided by Feldesman, Tucker, Leifer, and Fidell, LLC. For over 40 years, FTLF has been a leader in federal grants law. Much of their work focuses on financial and program requirements, procurements, and property issues. They also advise clients how best to prepare for and respond to government reviews, audits, and cost disallowances. FTLF also has extensive experience in federal grants policy, with a special focus in HHS programs, including HS/EHS.
Throughout the course of the day, the training will provide an overview of the Supercircular changes on the following issues, and others as Q & A arise:
Cost Allocation – to help improve how your organization allocates costs
Time and Effort Reporting - will allow attendees to avoid significant costs disallowances by identifying requirements for Time and Effort Reporting
Subrecipient vs Contractor Issues - will help attendees to understand the distinctions between subrecipient and contractor relationships and factors to consider when making a procurement decision
Procurements – will review will attendees the processes in procuring goods and services with federal funds
Selected Items of Cost – will deepen understanding of items from the cost principle that are allowable/unallowable to charge to a grant
Conflicts of Interest – will assist attendees in identifying when Conflicts of Interest will arise and understanding the key elements of drafting Standards of Conflict
