‘LEONIA WALKS’ – ANYONE WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IS ASKED TO CALL THE BUS LINE EACH WEEK AT (201) 302-9667 TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE GOING. PICK-UPS BEGIN AT 9 A.M. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE MEETING ROOM IN THE LOWER LEVEL OF THE BOROUGH ANNEX WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR USE THE WEEKS OF AUGUST 19TH AND AUGUST 26TH. OUT ON THE TOWN ‘ON THE BOARDWALK’ SHOW & LUNCHEON AT THE STONY HILL INN, HACKENSACK WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7 We had to cancel the bus charter due to inadequate sign-ups; however, you may still enjoy this trip if you like. Tables have been reserved for those attending from both Leonia & Tenafly. Seats are still available. A delicious luncheon consisting of one ‘complimentary’ drink, fresh Fruit Salad, Sirloin of Beef / Chicken Marsala, Green Beans Almondine, Potatoes and Vegetables (served family style) Fruit Tart with whipped cream. Cost of trip - $42.00. Check to be made payable to Jersey Dreamers will be collected the day of the luncheon. EMPIRE CLUB ‘HOT,HOT,HOT’ LUNCHEON date changed from Thursday, August 15 to Wednesday, August 7 Those of you who would like to go the Empire Club this date will be able to do so. Tables have been reserved for you. Transportation will be available as well. Cost - $29.00. Menu features Tortellini Carbonara, Caesar Salad, Pork with Merlot Sauce / Chicken Mimosa/ Filet of Sole Potatoes, Vegetables, Dessert and unlimited beer, wine & soda. Music by Peter Lieberman. CAESARS, ATLANTIC CITY WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14 DO/AC Join us for a day-out in Atlantic City. Come to shop at the outlets a block away from Caesars, walk on the Boardwalk or try your luck in the Casino. Cost of trip - $30.00. Slot play bonus - $25.00. Bus pick-up at the Recreation Department at 9:30 a.m. (please note time change) BERGEN COUNTY ANNUAL SENIOR CITIZEN PICNIC AT VAN SAUN COUNTY PARK, PARAMUS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 EMPIRE CLUB ‘FALL’ LUNCHEON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 Menu as follows: Corn Chowder, Salad, Marinated London Broil, BBQ Chicken, Potatoes & Vegetables (served family style), dessert and unlimited beer, wine and soda. Music by Peter Lieberman. Cost - $29.00 Transportation will be provided. RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL STAGE DOOR TOUR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 Several seats are still available for this trip. One-hour walking tour thru the stunning private and public spaces of this art deco landmark. Three-course lunch at Da Rosina Restaurant. All participants will select their meal tableside. Cost of trip - $65.00. Checks made payable to the Tenafly Senior Center are being accepted at the Recreation office. Bus pick-up from Leonia Recreation at 10:45 a.m. WOODLOCH PINES, PENNSYLVANIA WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9 We have been invited by the Englewood Cliffs Seniors to join them on their trip to the ‘Oktoberfest’ at Woodloch Pines. More details will be forthcoming on the September calendar. EMPIRE CLUB ‘OCTOBERFEST’ THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17 BERGEN COUNTY DAY AT CAESARS IN ATLANTIC CITY TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29 ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY AT THE GRAYCLIFF WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11 HUNTERDON HILLS CHRISTMAS SHOW MONDAY, DECEMBER 16 Join us for a festive musical revue “A playhouse Christmas 2013’ at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse. Anyone who has ever been to Hunterdon Hills knows the wonderful entertainment they provide. Their luncheons, which consist of a choice of Yankee Pot Roast, Catch of the Day, Fried Butterfly Shrimp, Chicken Parmesan & Roast Turkey & Stuffing, are delicious and their dessert buffet is scrumptious.
