You are invited to bid on privately-owned timber described as follows:
Property owned by AAW Farms, LLC., near Atlanta, MO. The property is located in Macon County, MO, Section 24, Township 59 North, Range 15 West, 460 acres m/l. Directions from Atlanta, MO are: head west along Marion Street approximately 1.4 miles to Highway RA. Turn south (left) onto Highway RA and head south for approximately 1/10 mile and turn back west (right) onto Inkwell St. Travel west down Inkwell Street for approximately ½ mile and the main double-gate property entrance will be on the north (right) side of the road.
DESCRIPTION OF TIMBER
A total of 1,555 trees have been marked for harvest within approximately 97acres. Approximately 105,031 board feet (Doyle) is up for bid. This includes 34,393 board feet of white oak, 19,694 board feet of black oak, 10,146 board feet of pin oak, 8,114 board feet of black walnut, 7,622 board feet of shingle oak, 7,613 board feet of northern red oak, 4,114 board feet of hickory species, and 16,586 board feet of other species such as silver maple, river birch, cottonwood, elm, swamp white oak, bur oak, post oak, and ash.
All trees to be cut are marked with orange paint on two sides of the stem, as well as the base of the stump. Bidders should determine quality and volume of logs accordingly.
CONDITIONS OF TIMBER SALE

The winning bidder will agree to and sign a timber sale contract before any tree is harvested.

A performance deposit (10% of total bid price) will be required when signing the timber sale contract.

Skid routes will be designed to minimize damage to wet weather creeks and fences.

Trees marked with orange paint are the only trees to be cut.

A penalty of three times the stumpage price will be paid for each tree that is cut which is not marked to cut.

Fences, roads, and wet weather creeks must be kept free from tree’s tops and other logging debris at all times. All trash and waste must be removed.

The designated property caretaker must be notified 24 hours before cutting.

Marked trees must be removed from the property and job completed by March 31, 2017.
