UBUNTU
STEP 1 – SUBSCRIPTION
First register via the form in the members’ area tab. Then choose a username and a password and complete the creation of your account.
STEP 2 –PASS ORDER
Once you have registered, you can order a Pass via the tab ‘Order’.
Your connection data for the VPN are displayed after the payment of the Pass, and are also sent via email.
Please carry out the following operations:
1. Check your emails and your junk mails
2. Add jcvpn.com to your green list
STEP 3- CONFIGURE YOUR VPN

Open a terminal and install network-manager-pptp
sudo apt-get install network-manager-pptp

In the internet connection tool :

Go in VPN Connections => Configure the VPN

Select the Add option

Select the PPTP protocol
-
In Gateway :
-
Enter the information you received when you buy the pass. They look like the following:
«name of the server».jcvpn.com

In Username:
-
Enter the login you choose when you buy the
-
In Password:
-
Enter the password you choose when you buy the pass.
If you are using another VPN server, those are the only information (3) you need to modify.

Click on Advanced
-
Tick the box Use the Point-to-Point Encryption

Choose the encryption 128-bit
10. Confirm
11. Click on Apply
12. Go in Internet Connection Manager
13. Choose the connection you created
- You should be connected
(The connection is active if she is indicated by a little padlock)
It is possible that the configuration requires a restart to be taken into account.
Under ArchLinux (with Gnome)

Start by installing, if it isn’t already done, the following packages as root, in a terminal :
pacman -S networkmanager network-manager-applet pptpclient networkmanager-pptp
if some are already installed, it won’t change anything.

Start Network manager
-
For this, execute in command line as root:
/etc/rc.d/networkmanager start
To start it with the PC, ad dit in the file /etc/rc.conf on the following line DAEMONS:
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs crond dbus hal fam gdm)

The notification icon which appears should be the following one

If it isn’t the same icon, please do a reboot.
You only need to click on the icon Network Manager to open the Network Connection Manager.
Then, the installation is the same as the one presented above for Ubuntu (because it is the same tool, only a bit longer to install).
