Conduct a local safety belt use survey and publicize the results

Send a letter to the editor supporting safety belt and drunk driving enforcement.
Have your local government agency issue a proclamation in support of traffic enforcement efforts (download sample at www.michigan.gov/ohsp)
Utilize “fatal vision” goggles which simulate different BAC levels. Available to law enforcement only. (email request to Lynn Sutfin at sutfinl@michigan.gov)
Determine if a BATmobile (blood alcohol testing van) is available locally to heighten awareness of drunk driving enforcement (BATmobiles are housed by the Holland Police Department, Marquette Police Department, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office)
