Coaches and Team Representatives,
The University of Georgia would like to cordially invite you to attend this year’s South Eastern Regional Collegiate Sprints regatta. As before, this regatta will be held the first weekend of March, so March 2nd, 2013.
Coordinated this year by experienced Regatta Director Nancy Young from the Augusta Rowing Club and long-time Head Referee Mike Forster, the regatta will operate smoothly and efficiently. And with the resources of the University of Georgia’s expanding rowing club and alumni board, it is shaping up to be a streamlined event that will allow you to evaluate your teams in preparation for the start of the main sprint racing season.
SERCS is typically a small, early-season ‘preview’ regatta for southeastern clubs getting fired up for spring racing. This year we will be inviting more northern clubs who may be passing through the area on their way to or from spring training trips in an effort reinvigorate the regatta’s competitive base.
SERCS will be held this spring at the Langley Pond venue in Aiken, South Carolina. Look for us on RegattaCentral.com. We hope to see you in Aiken come March.
Best of luck with your winter training,
Nathan Lantz
