INFORMATION ON TRANSPORTATION, HOUSING & MEALS FOR CBCT COURSES HELD AT DREPUNG LOSELING MONASTERY 
VENUE LOCATION: Drepung Loseling Monastery 1781 Dresden Drive Atlanta, GA 30319 (Please do not contact the monastery for information re: the CBCT courses. Direct any questions to carol.beck@emory.edu 404.727.7394). While CBCT makes use of a Buddhist meditation hall for convenience, CBCT is not a Buddhist practice and it is appropriate for those of any, or no, faith tradition. AIRPORT ARRIVALS: Car Rental It's about twenty miles from the airport to the monastery. Taxi from the nearest MARTA train station (the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe train station on the Gold Line—you do not have to switch trains) will be less than $10 one way. Link to MARTA gold line schedule: http://www.itsmarta.com/Ne-w.aspx According to their website, the Holiday Inn Express at Clairmont and I-85 offers a complimentary shuttle from the Marta train station if you arrange it in advance. ACCOMMODATIONS Here's a link to the closest accommodations to the venue: http://goo.gl/n2c4kB If you are thinking of walking, from your hotel to the venue, be aware that the distances quoted are not correct! The closest hotel, for example, is actually about 1.5 miles not 1; so do your own googling to make sure you have an accurate distance. If you stay at either the Holiday Inn Express, or the Extended Stay America, you can take the #19 bus to the intersection of Clairmont & Dresden and from there it's about a ten minute walk up Dresden to the monastery. Here's the MARTA bus schedule: http://www.itsmarta.com/19-w.aspx Bus fare is $2.50 The Holiday Inn Express website offers a complimentary shuttle within a 3-mile radius of the hotel, so you might want to check with them if you are staying there.
