Atlantic recording group Why Don’t We – one of pop music’s biggest breakout stories of 2017 - close out the year with a full slate of national television appearances and live performances. The LA-based quintet will perform their latest single “These Girls” on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on November 7th. “These Girls” has just been serviced to pop radio outlets, but its companion music video has already amassed over 26 million views on YouTube in only a matter of weeks.
Having recently been named November’s MTV PUSH: Artist To Watch, the group returns to the network’s TRL on November 7th, after first appearing on the show during its much-anticipated premiere week last month. On November 26th, Why Don’t We joins some of music’s most popular stars – including Atlantic labelmate Kelly Clarkson - for the Nickelodeon HALO Awards 2017, a one-of-a-kind concert special honoring young leaders who are changing their communities and the world by “Helping and Leading Others” (HALO).
Starting November 28th, Why Don’t We will embark on the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2017 tour, performing at every stop, including Los Angeles on December 1st and New York City on December 8th. The star-studded lineup features some of the biggest names in pop music with artists such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, and more taking the stage during select Jingle Ball shows across the country.
In other touring news, due to overwhelming demand, Why Don’t We have added additional shows to their most extensive North American headline tour to date. “The Invitation Tour” - which begins February 27th in Cincinnati, OH and then travels through April – is almost completely sold out with a second night added in Los Angeles and already sold out second nights added in New York City, Chicago, and Toronto (see attached itinerary). With over 85 million audio streams globally, 2 million Instagram followers, and total YouTube views surpassing 105 million, Why Don’t We is undeniably one of the year’s biggest pop music breakout stories. Taking an innovative and unconventional approach towards releasing new music and engaging their rapidly growing fan base, the prolific young group has released 4 EPs over the course of a single year. The band’s latest - the “INVITATION” EP released in late September - immediately shot to the top of the iTunes Overall Albums chart in 6 countries including the US. “INVITATION” arrived on Why Don’t We’s official one-year anniversary as a group, a milestone celebrated at an exclusive party live streamed on the group’s hugely popular YouTube channel. Commemorating more than 1 million subscribers to the official Why Don't We channel, YouTube awarded the group with their much coveted, gold-play button. “INVITATION” marks the band’s second consecutive, chart-topping release – their “WHY DON’T WE JUST” EP also went to #1 on the iTunes Pop Albums chart earlier this summer, overtaking artists like Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran , and Harry Styles. Why Don’t We made their network television debut on NBC’s TODAY, followed by high profile appearances at MTV’s 2017 VMA Pre-Show and VMA Weekend as well as the 2017 Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day at the US Open Tennis Championships. The band recently performed in Times Square during the premiere week for the much-anticipated return of MTV’s TRL.
