Greece

  1. Short description


The envisaged architecture for the Greek pilot site is shown below. Two vehicles will be equipped with an IVS. The IVS will be able to initiate an eCall to the 112 with the eCall flag activated.

The MNO and fixed line operator will make use of this flag, so as to route the eCall to one dedicated Call Centre, for eCalls only. The location of the eCall Call Centre will be decided in cooperation with the General Secretariat of Civil Protection.



All the hardware and software will be acquired through a public tender procedure. For the scope of HeERO there will be two working places for two operators of the eCall Call Centre. The PSAP software will be able to query the Greek VIN database and retrieve data relevant to the vehicle involved in the incident.
