“The Armenoids mostly live in the areas under the Muslim influence. The Orientalids are connected with the emergence of Jews. The Armenoids (the Armenian race) are of middle or low height, dark complexion, medium narrow face, strong eagle-like nose which is fleshy and wider at the bottom. The Orientalids are similar to the Mediterranids. Their skin is somewhat darker. They have curly hair." (Dr. Branimir Maleš, On Human Races, pg 35)

“The Orientalids are common in Persia (Iran), almost all of Arabia and North (Mediterranean) Africa (the Beduins and a large part of the Berbers, for instance). Their nose is narrow, quite often eagle-like; their hair and eyes are black, their head is elongated, body heights medium and slender build in general. Yet, in the cities we find fat people, especially women, which is their ideal of beauty." (Božo Škerlj, General Anthropology, pg 68)

“The Armenoids. Medium height, strong people, with predisposition for putting on weight. Brachycephalic skull, inclined from the forehead to the vertex, so that the long protuberant nose often comes in line with frontal or cranial ascending line. The nose is even bigger and longer than that of a Dinarian, curved, as if it “hangs from the face”. The face is wider than the Dinarian. Cheekbones are placed lower, towards the nose base, the chin and the jawbone are retroflexed and not pronounced, so when viewed their profile resembles bird physiognomy. The lips are fat and fleshy. The skin is tawny, hair and eye pigmentation is dark.” (Vladimir Dvorniković, Characterology of Yugoslavs, pg 175)

Astrologers describe the sign of Scorpio using attributes that correspond to the Semites:

"The nose is the most prominent feature of the Scorpio; it is large, heavy, and hooked, resembling the bill of the eagle; the brows are bushy, the eyes sharp and piercing; the jaw is very heavy ; the glint of the eye, and the set of the jaw indicate the great determination which is the most prominent characteristic of the Scorpio. The face is angular, complexion murky and hair dark, with a peculiar ruddy tinge noticeable when the sun shines on it. ... The teeth are large and subject to early decay. The body is short and thickset, with a short, thick neck." (Max Heindel & Augusta Foss Heindel, The Message of the Stars, pg 103)

Astrologer Linda Goodman says that Scorpio’s voice can be "velvety soft, husky or sharply cutting". They have "features are noticeably heavy or sharp, and clearly drawn, and the nose is quite prominent, sometimes beak-shaped. Brows are heavy and knit together over the bridge of the nose. The males will have a heavy growth of hair on the arms and legs" (Linda Goodman, Sun Signs, pg 310-312). Astrologer Charles Carter describes Scorpio as follows: "Sallow, olive, or dark red complexion, and hair often black and curly. The nose is prominent and aquiline, and usually thick in the nostrils. Often very muscular." (Charles E.O. Carter, The Principles of Astrology, pg 156)

Astrologer Aleksandar Imširagić wrote the following about Scorpio: "The body is short or of a medium height. The hair is rough as well as the skin, which is often full of pimples, scars and acne. Scorpio controls the sweat glands and the skin pores are very big. That is why they have a strong body scent... The lips are rich, red and clearly defined" (Wheel of Fortune, pg 384). Astrologer Mile Dupor says the following about Scorpio's appearance: "Medium height, muscular body, dark hair and skin, either eagle-like fleshy nose or the elegant nose curved upwards, shiny and piercing wolf-like eyes, penetrating voice." (Do not believe it, Check it, pg 61) "Their legs are shorter than the arms, they are dark, muscular, with a well-cut face.” (Astromedicine, pg 23) In The Message of the Stars the astrologers Max Heindel and Augusta Foss Heindel say the following about Scorpio’s teeth: "The teeth are large and subject to early decay." (Max Heindel & Augusta Foss Heindel, The Message of the Stars, pg 105). It is interesting that this description of Scorpio matches the description of the “hypergenital" type of people, who, according to the Italian endocrinologist Niccolo Pendo, have only excessive sex hormones, not excessive hormones of thyroid or petuitary gland (which is certainly more characteristic of the psychological types of Sagittarius, Aries and Leo than Scorpio): “The hypergenital type is noticed only at the end of puberty due to excessive secretion of sex glands, which is understandable. The development of this type's sex organs comes early and intensely, but there is a setback in the growth of the body, lower extremities look short and stocky in relation to the torso. Male persons have highly developed muscles, wide back, expressive face, but the hair and teeth are weak and fall off too soon. Their sexual function is very intense. Women have long and heavy periods." (Dr Aleksandar Kostić, Sexual Knowing III, pg 90-91). Astrologers state the following about Scorpio: “They are often prone to rheumatism, and they can also have problems with regenerative organs, bladder, groin and infections of their private parts. Sex glands are connected with Scorpio.” (The Society of the Astrologers of Yugoslavia, Meet Astrology and Yourselves, pg 101)

Based on the analysis of Y chromosome, almost every other citizen of Priština (45.6%), every fifth Belgrader (20.35%) and every twentieth citizen of Zagreb is of Semitic origin on the father’s side, that is, haplogroup E, probably from the Semitized Mediterranids of Protophenician origin. Due to the nature of their gifts (trade and craftmanship), the Semites were bound to spend time with other people, so they were mixed with populations of different genetic origin.

Thus most African Blacks are of Semitic origin from the father’s side (HG-E), while the analysis of other genetic markers inherited by both sexes reveals a rather colorful origin of African people.

The question would now be:

Is there a match between the anthropological descriptions of Semites’ mental traits and the astrological description of Scorpio?

Astrologers claim that Scorpio goes to the extremes:

"The sign is extremely thorough-going, and few flabby characters are born under it. There is usually courage, and also energy and capacity for toil in the pursuit of any aim which claims the native's devotion. As a result many heroes have been born under the sign, as well as many notable villains. They do nothing by halves, and, having once selected their course in life, pursue it relentlessly. In primitives there may be reckless self-indulgence and in evolved ones intense devotion." (Charles E.O. Carter, The Principles of Astrology, pg 75-76)

"He can be a saint or a sinner. He can experiment with the darkest mysteries this side of Hades, or he can scathingly revile sin and decadence... Pluto people can have either a Sunday School teacher horror of sin, an attitude which produces intensely dedicated evangelistic religious leaders ... or they can be driven by curiosity to penetrate every dark corner of the human mystery. Sometimes, both attitudes are combined, resulting in the hypocrisy or self-delusion..." (Linda Goodman, Sun Signs, pg 316, 322)

The Semites, which are also referred to as the Armenoid race by anthropologists, are described as follows:

“The Armenoids – these people are torn and there is a streak of unsettled body and soul in them. People from Near East feel their body and soul as two opposing sides of his being... Their being therefore inclines to one extreme at one point, and goes to the other extreme at another: extreme asceticism or inveterate, cynical materialism.” (Vladimir Dvorniković, Characterology of Yugoslavs, pg 187-188)

If we had the chance to meet the people from the Mediterranean and the Middle East area, where the Semites are most common, we could notice that their sensual sensations are of special importance to them: they speak loudly, make physical contact during conversation, indulge in spicy food, which can also be very sweet (tulumba and baklava are their specialties). Sexuality is very important to them (preferably harems), as well as etheric oils and massage. The music they listen to has the Oriental scale (“Turkish” music). They are extremely close to all the people. Instead of drinking alcohol, which represents an emotional pleasure and is typical of the peoples of Nordic, Finno-Ugric and Mongolian origin, the Semites are well-known for indulging in tobacco which gives them sensual pleasure. The Society of the Astrologers of Yugoslavia named the herbs typical of Scorpio: "Narcissus, ivy, tobacco, onion, pepper..." (pg. 104). Intense tendency towards sensual pleasures categorizes the Semites as Scorpios, and Linda Goodman says the following about them: "The true nature of the sign is sensual. Normally, Scorpio will surround himself with luxury. He'll lean toward excesses in food, drugs, drink, and yes-in love." (pg. 321)

Astrologer Mile Dupor describes Scorpio as a number one sign in relation to other signs in terms of the attributes of eroticism, passion and attractiveness. In The Secret of Sexual Astrology by Johanna Weinbaum, The Secret of Sexual Astrology, we read: "Man Scorpio is prone to perversity." (pg 42)

Charles E.O. Carter says that Scorpio’s way of speaking is "deep and resonant" (Encyclopedia of Psychological Astrology, pg 18), which actually indicates the high level of male hormones.

The Semites are endowed with gifts for enterprise, organizing, craftsmanship and trade (power of marketing and persuasion). Their outstanding and versatile gifts are most obvious with the Jews, who, even though thin in terms of percentage in the overall population of humankind, have many Nobel Prize winners, scientists, doctors, writers, politicians, etc. There is an interesting observation made by astrologer Charles Carter: "I have nearly always found enthusiastic Freemasons to be Scorpionic to a more or less degree." (Charles E.O. Carter, Encyclopedia of Psychological Astrology, pg 50)

As they often occupy high positions in society by achieving great results in their business activities, they cause envy and anti-Semitism, especially with individuals and nations who have the inferiority complex. The other branches of the Semites natural talents are more desecrated with sensuality and are therefore rendered dysfunctional. The temptation of sensual pleasure in commerce is recognized in almost all branches of the Semites by their ability to bargain, and the temptation in artisanship by their willingness to work only if they get to feel the pleasure of an immediate and instantaneous profit. This trait is perhaps most easily recognized in Gypsies, who to a great extent originated from the Elamo-Dravidians, who are considered to be closely related (common HLA-A24) with the Semites of the Arabo-Jewish origin in terms of genetics (although Gypsies are quite mixed with the anthropological types which correspond to the psychological type of Pisces). Namely, according to the biblical genealogy of the nations, Jews and Arabs origin from Noah’s son Shem and were therefore named Semites. However, while Jews and Arabs came from Shem’s son Arphaxad, the other “Proto-Semitic” peoples came from the rest of Shem’s son (five of them). According to the Holy Bible, one of Shem’s sons, whose name was Elam, is the father of the ancient Elamites. The fall of the ancient Elamic empire, whose capital Susa was located in the area of today’s Iran, was foretold in the Holy Bible in the following manner:

“Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will break the bow of Elam, and their chief strength. And I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the four quarters of heaven: and I will scatter them into all these winds: and there shall be no nation, to which the fugitives of Elam shall not come.” (Jeremiah 49:35-36)

The analysis of the now dead Elamic language shows its closeness with the language of modern Dravidians in India, so both languages are considered part of Elamo-Dravidian language group. The archeological findings revealed to us the names of the ancient Elamic emperors: Peli, Tata, Ukku-Takhesh, Khishur, Shushun-Tarana, Napil-Khush, Kikku-Sive-Temti, Lukh-Ishshan, Khelu, Khita, Kutik-Inshushinnak, Attakhushu, Sirukdukh, Shimut-Wartash, Siwe-Palar-Khuppak, Kuduzulush, Kutir-Nahhunte, Lila-Ir-Tash, Temti-Agun, Kutir-Shilkhakha, Khuman-Numena, Untash-Naprisha, Shutruk-Nahhunte, etc. Although Gypsies today speak languages which belong to the Indo-European language group, their pronunciation, accentuation and intonation corresponds to their mostly Semitic genetic origin, which transform Indo-European words towards the direction of their former Elamo-Dravidian language.

Astrologers describe Scorpio’s materialism in the following words:

"In the budget department, Scorpio women are completely unpredictable. She can scrimp and save and pinch a penny until it bends double, then have a sudden spell of being magnificently extravagant. One thing is sure. She'll enjoy money, whether she saves it in an old shoe or spends it on luxury." (Sun Signs, pg 333)

“They adore second hand items, they love them more the new ones, and use them as they are, or remodel them as they please.” (The Society of the Astrologers of Yugoslavia, Meet Astrology and Yourselves, pg 104)

Astrologers also dealt with the attitude of a Scorpio father towards his children: "If they borrow money from him, he's liable to charge them interest on it, but it's for their own good." (Sun Signs, pg 324)

Astrologers also say that Scorpios are extremely jealous:

"You can drive Scorpio mad with jealousy - but you do so at your own risk. Scorpio never forgets kindness, never forgives offences, and then revenge becomes their only aim." (Johanna Weinbaum, The Secret of Sexual Astrology, pg 42)

Anthropologists recognize jealousy as a characteristic of the Semitic population:

“Oriental and Mediterranean male jealousy is too well known phenomenon.” (Vladimir Dvorniković, Characterology of Yugoslavs, pg 337)

In 1792, German researcher and cartographer Carsten Niebuhr described the character of Arabs in his work "Travel through Arabia and other Countries in the East", chapter "Of the Vengeance of the Arabs" as follows:

"A lively, animated people, of quick and violent passions, are naturally led to carry the desire of vengeance for injuries to its highest excess." (pg 197)

Speaking about a blood feud among the Arabs, he noticed:

"Notwithstanding this aptitude to indolence, however, the Arabs are possessed of quick and violent passions, which often induce them to carry the desire of vengeance tor injuries to its highest excess. Some tribes in particular are so extremely irritable and jealous of their honour, that if one" chief says to another with a serious air, "thy bonnet is dirty," or, "the wrong side of thy turban is out," nothing but blood can wash away the reproach, and not only the offender, but all the males of his family must expect to be sacrificed on such an account." (The wonders of nature and art By Thomas Smith, William Marshall Craig, John Pye, pg 150-151)

As we can observe, Scorpio’s vengeful character is the most expressive with the Semites of Arabic origin. Unlike Jews, who according to the Bible descended from Abraham’s second son Isaac, Arabs descended from Ishmael, the first son of Abraham, whose character was foretold to be the temptation of the entire Arabic world:

"And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." (Genesis 16:12)

Let us note how Scorpio’s vengeful character incredibly suits the Arabic character, especially their religious fanatics, who are prepared to sacrifice their lives for fulfillment of their religious goals:

"The deadly nocturnal scorpion will first sting, then plan destruction, then sting again. He's not content with merely evening the score. He must totally destroy the enemy, or at least top him. The typical scorpion stinger will lie awake nights figuring how to get even." (Linda Goodman, Sun Signs, pg. 315)

"In the hour of danger they never flinch, but perform deeds of heroism with a disregard for self that amounts to foolhardiness." (Max Heindel & Augusta Foss Heindel, The Message of the Stars, pg 63)

“With the intent to make the world a better place Scorpios can sometimes be real fanatics obsessed with a wrong way to do it. They then show defiance and destructiveness which make the world around them devastated." (The Society of the Astrologers of Yugoslavia, pg 101)

“The lower type Scorpions listen to their instincts, do harm to themselves, are jealous, vengeful, egotistic, act behind others' backs, like pleasures. It is impossible to make them give up their ideas, they take it on somebody else to the point of sadism, socialize with inferior people in order to stand out ... commit suicide when left without a choice." (Maja Lončarić, Astrology – The Stars Talk, pg 43)

The well-known Arabic suspicion, fear, which is a frequent combination in the area of Saudi Arabia) of the enemy and conspiracy can all be recognized in the astrological description of Scorpio:

"Every Scorpio's life motto is the following: nothing is as it seems." (Hana Hart, A man in the palm, pg 90)

“Scorpio is also often suspicious, probably by reason of projecting its own characteristic subtlety on to those with whom it is dealing.” (Charles E.O. Carter, Encyclopedia of Psychological Astrology, pg 174)

In Mediterranean and Middle East countries, wherever the Semites are common, we can recognize their tendency towards religious and ideological intolerance. Astrologers claim:

“Scorpio knows no limits, they exaggerate in everything...they are passionate and intolerant.” (Maja Lončarić, The Stars Talk, pg 43)

Namely, did the Semites get the eagle-like noses under the influence of the constellation Aquila or do they have it due to their genetic origin?

In the areas of the Mediterranean, North Africa, the Middle East and India, where different branches of the Semites are quite common, different constellations keep shifting because the Earth constantly spins around its centerline and the Sun. The Semites are born throughout a year, not only under the sign of Scorpio, and yet they have the typical Semitic appearance and character throughout every year and their whole history. Therefore, it is clear that the attributes of the Zodiac signs have their source in anthropology, and the psychological reasons make it easier for people to see the source of their temptations in the position of celestial bodies than the sinfulness of their own nature. If we are not prepared to face the fact that we are sinful by nature, then we have nothing left but to shift the source of our sinfulness to some factor affecting us from the outside. Astrology helps us find the “source” in the innocent celestial bodies.
