LEO– THE ANTHROPOLOGICAL TYPE OF THE ATLANTIC MEDITERRANIDS

According to the bestseller Astrology Through A Psychic's Eyes by Sylvia Browne, the people born under the sign of Leo are very tall. In the book Meet Astrology and Yourselves we read the following about Leo’s traits:

“Appearance: taller, strong body constitution, slim while young, prone to obesity in later age, bulky bones, straight nose, dignified posture“(The Society of the Astrologers of Yugoslavia, Meet Astrology and Youselves, pg 65).

In the university textbook of anthropology we read that the Atlantic Mediterranids are the tallest people in Europe, and the Sinids are the tallest in Asia. Both populations show other anthropological similarities, which indicate their common origin.

Atlantid and Sinide

“The Atlantids are tall, long-headed people with dark hair and eyes, and are often very dark. Their stature is slender, and yet vigorous. We can find them all over the Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean...We can find the Sinids in North China and Korea; men's height ranges from 164 to 168 cm, which makes them the tallest of all the Asian Yellow people, and their head is elongated. They are much more slender in stature than the other members of the Yellow race.“ (Božo Škerlj, General anthropology, pg 69, 65)

“North Chinese – the Sinids – are also Yellow people, although we can rarely see in them the ultimate forms of adaptation to the Arctic area. They are taller than the Tungids and less stocky; their proportions make them more similar to the Mediterranids." (Božo Škerlj, Man, pg 318)

In order to determine whether an Atlantic Mediterranean truly corresponds to the Leo type in the horoscope, we must pay attention to Leo’s immunity and long life:

"Health: Leos are strong and immune." (The Society of the Astrologers of Yugoslavia, Meet Astrology and Youselves, pg 65)

In Astromedicine by the astrologer Mile Dupor we read about Leos’ longevity:

“For those who were born at the time of strong aspects of the Sun with large planets and good aspects of small bodies which provide rhythm will have a long life...Or, to make a simplification for laymen’s sake: Those who have the Sun sign and the Ascending signs of Leo and Gemini live long. This means that the two most important rhythms are strong: heart- Leo and breathing- Gemini ; the former easily recovers from anything because they are strong, the latter do it quickly, because their functions are flexible" (Mile Dupor, Astromedicine, pg 85).

The research done by a group of Greek scientists (Papasteriades C, Boki K, Pappa H, Aedonopoulos S, Papasteriadis E, Economidou J, HLA phenotypes in healthy aged subjects, Department of Immunology and Histocompatibility, Evangelismos Hospital, Athens, Greece, 1997) discovered a significant correlation between life duration and antigen HLA-DR7.

In the average Greek population (405 healthy individuals between the age of 18 and 65), the presence of antigen HLA-DR7 amounts to 15.67%, whereas in the population of the long-lived (171 healthy individuals between the age of 75 and 104) the presence of the same antigen was doubled, 38.33%.

The persons with antigen DR7 in Europe mostly have antigen HLA-B12 in their HLA-B gene, while those in China have HLA-B13.

Maps of world prevalence of both antigens show that the HLA-B12 antigen corresponds to the prevalence of the Atlantic Mediterranids in Europe (mostly in the area of the ancient megalithic culture of the Western Europe), and that the HLA-B13 antigen corresponds to the prevalence of the Sinids in Asia (in the area of Sino-Tibetan language group).
