RMIT University

Scholarships at RMIT are granted to students based on equity, academic excellence, leadership skills, community involvement and research.


Merit scholarships that are on offer include:


This scholarship is awarded to high achieving CSP students starting a full-time degree in semester 1 2013. It is valued at $6,000 per year for the duration of the course. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered.


  • Scholarships for commencing Computer Science and IT International Students

Available only to International Students who are commencing an undergraduate program in the School of Computer Science and IT run at the City campus (Melbourne) of RMIT University for the first time. Valued at $3,000 per year, students must apply for one of the numerous Bachelor of Computer Sciences courses offered. All students who have listed one of the degrees offered by the School of Computer Science and IT will automatically be considered for the scholarship. Engineering Scholarship

All female students commencing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering can apply for this scholarship, which is a once-off payment of $5000. To be eligible, CSP students must also attain an ATAR of 95.00+ and must have demonstrated leadership in a societal or cultural setting. Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview. Applications must be made directly to RMIT and short-listed applicants must be available to be interviewed if necessary.




  • School of Electrical and Computer Engineering Academic Merit Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to high achievers who attain an ATAR of 95.00 or above. Successful applicants will be awarded an annual scholarship of $8,000 per year for the first two years of their degree. CSP students must apply for a full time Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering, Bachelor of Electronic & Communication Engineering/Bachelor of Science degree and numerous other engineering degrees.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Property) Achievement Scholarship

High achieving students who have the CSP course - Bachelor of Applied Science (Property) as their first preference will be automatically be considered for this once-off $5,000 scholarship. No separate application is necessary.


  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Project Management) Achievement Scholarship

High achieving students who have the CSP course - Bachelor of Applied Science (Project Management) as their first preference will be automatically be considered for this once-off $5,000 scholarship. No separate application is necessary.

Royal College of Nursing Scholarships


Numerous scholarships on offer including –


Valued at $10,000 per year over three years, these Aged Care Nursing Scholarships are an Australian Government initiative supporting CSP student nurses who show a demonstrated commitment to aged care to undertake undergraduate studies at an Australian tertiary institute leading to a qualification to practice as a registered nurse/Division 1. Applications have opened and close on 31 August 2012.

Valued at $10,000 per year over three years, these scholarships are an Australian Government initiative supporting student nurses who show a demonstrated commitment to nursing to undertake undergraduate studies at an Australian tertiary institute leading to a qualification to practice as a registered nurse/Division 1. Students applying for entering a CSP place in a Diploma of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery or Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery are eligible to apply. Applications open 23 July 2012 and close 14 September 2012.

Scholarships for Children of Veterans

The Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) gives financial assistance to numerous students under a range of scholarship schemes.


Valued at between $3,000 and $4,000 per year, and lasts for up to three years of a degree. Applicants are considered for all schemes for which they are eligible.
