Swinburne University of Technology


Various scholarships are on offer ranging in value from $500 to several thousand dollars.

Merit scholarships on the list include:




  • Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Program

Swinburne Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships exempt students from paying the Student Contribution Amount (previously known as HECS). In other words, their CSP is waived. These scholarships are offered in Arts & Social Sciences; Business; Design; Engineering; Information Technology/Science. To be eligible students must lodge a VTAC application and should anticipate attaining an ATAR of at least 97.00. In addition to the VTAC application, students must also submit a 'Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship - Supplementary Application Form’.


  • Bachelor of Information Technology Scholarship

Successful students will receive approximately $40,000 over three years. Short-listed students will be invited for an interview. Students need to apply both to VTAC and to Swinburne University of Technology for an interview into this program. The scholarship is on offer to a CSP applicant applying for the Bachelor of Information Technology.
  • Dean’s Scholars Program – Commerce


Students applying for a CSP place in numerous commerce courses. Selection mode is based on ATAR and a supplementary application form. Applicants should be able to demonstrate past leadership roles in their community or school and have an ATAR of 85.00 or above. Short listed applicants may be required to attend an interview.

Students offered a Dean’s Scholarship in the Faculty of Life and Social Sciences may undertake a single or double degree in the Arts, Social Sciences, Health Science and Science. Students receive a waiver from student contribution payments for the duration of their course (subject to academic performance and other scholarship conditions). Students with an ATAR of 95.00 and above will be eligible.




  • Sir Reginald Ansett Scholarship for Aviation


The Scholarship is valued at $10,000 per year for a period of three years. The total value of the Scholarship is $30,000. Eligible CSP students must have a passion for an aviation career, applying for one of the aviation degrees, have attained a minimum ATAR score of 85.00 and demonstrate financial need.

University of Adelaide


A comprehensive range of scholarships are available, ranging in value up to $10,000 per year. The University of Adelaide offers a range of scholarships, funded by the University and by external organisations, for both commencing and continuing undergraduate students from wide-ranging backgrounds

Examples of some of the merit scholarships are:





  • Andy Thomas Scholarship

For a student with an outstanding ATAR and applying for a CSP place in a Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering; covers the full cost of tuition fees plus $6,000 per year allowance over four years. Scholarship selection will also have regard to the student’s contribution to their school and to the wider community. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through SATAC to the University of Adelaide will be automatically considered. The university will contact the eligible students and invite them to apply.


  • John Cresswell Scholarship for the Bachelor of Economics

A once-off payment of $3,000 will be awarded to a CSP student commencing a Bachelor of Economics program. Selection for this scholarship will be made according to academic merit which will be determined according to ATAR scores.


  • Marta Sved Scholarship in Mathematics

A once-off payment of $2,000 will be awarded to a female CSP student who commences a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences, Mathematical & Computer Sciences or Engineering (Computational). The recipient will also receive dedicated personal study space for the duration of their study, a laptop computer and a personal mathematics mentor for the duration of their study program. Selection will be made according to academic merit in mathematics with consideration given to a recommendation made by the applicant's mathematics teacher and the applicants' statement regarding why they wish to study their chosen degree. The ATAR will also be considered.


  • The Agribusiness Leaders Scholarship for Excellence

One scholarship valued at $10,000 for one year will be available to a commencing CSP student. Applicants must be undertaking their first year of study in the Bachelor of Agricultural Science program at the University of Adelaide. Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit and applicants' demonstrated leadership experience. Academic merit will be determined by the ATAR.


  • Defence Science & Technology Organisation (DSTO) Scholarships in Photonics

DSTO is offering a number of scholarships to students undertaking the Bachelor of Science (Optics and Photonics) program. These scholarships will provide financial assistance to students in meeting educational and living costs. This scholarship is available to CSP students and selection is based on the ATAR. Students will need to complete an application form for the scholarship.


Scholarships awarded to CSP students enroled in the Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering); valued up to $10,000 per year. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through SATAC to the University of Adelaide and listed the Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) program as their first preference will be sent a scholarship application form. Selection will be based on both academic merit and an interview. Call the Australian School of Petroleum on (08) 8303 8000 and request further information.
