WHO THE MESSIAH WOULD BE
Prophecy: Genesis 3:15. Seed of a woman. The figurative language in this verse means that Jesus Christ would defeat Satan (crush Satan's head, but Satan would strike the heel of Christ (create the need for Christ to die on the cross. It was typical for the Hebrews to write concerning the offspring of a man, but here Moses prophesied of the seed of a woman. There was only one man who was the offspring of a woman and not the offspring of a man Jesus, the Messiah, who was born of a virgin.
