MEASURE C1: IDLE REDUCTION PAYMENT SYSTEMS




Documentation Requirements:


 Narrative of idle reduction system, including:

  • payment system(s) in use

  • Description of how the payment system reduces idling time

MEASURE C2: FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS




Documentation Requirements:


 For EACH type of fire suppression device include ONE of the following:

  • Image of fire extinguisher or suppression system label or inspection tag clearly demonstrating the extinguisher/suppression system does NOT contain halon

  • Invoice showing model number and the Technical specification sheet that lists the chemicals within the system



MEASURE C3: NO/LOW-VOC, PAINTS AND SEALANTS




Documentation Requirements:


 Table showing:

  • Manufacturer and product name of all coatings applied to parking deck surfaces, walls, and interior spaces within two years of the preliminary review submission

  • Areas where each coating has been applied and purpose of coating

  • Application dates

  • Relevant standard under which the no/low-VOC product is listed

 Specification sheets verifying each coating as no- or low-VOC.


 Policies and procedures regarding no- or low-VOC materials.

MEASURE C4: TIRE INFLATION STATIONS




Documentation Requirements:


 Tire inflation device make and model., with year purchased
 Image of the dedicated area where patrons can access the inflation station.
 Image showing proper signage and instructional information for patrons to operate equipment.
Description of maintenance and operational plan.

MEASURE C5: ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING STATIONS




Documentation Requirements:


 List of EV charging stations in operation in the parking facility, including:

  • Equipment make and model

  • Charging level, voltage and amperage

  • Quantity of stations

  • Quantity of charge points (some devices provide more than one charge point)

 Images of installed device(s) with accompanying signage.


 Narrative describing usage, including:

If applicable, documentation that charging is available at no additional cost.



MEASURE C6: HVAC SYSTEMS – OCCUPIED SPACES




Revision to Standard:


Options [HVAC Control Systems – 1 Point] (page 137): Sensors capable of detecting unsafe levels of CO, NO2 and VOC are installed and engage the ventilation system at appropriate power levels to maintain safe air quality at all occupied times.

Documentation Requirements:


Energy Efficient HVAC systems
 Narrative describing energy efficient systems, including:

  • Type of system

  • Conditioned zones

  • Energy efficient properties

 Specification data sheet for each HVAC system.


 Images of rating plates, model number, and ENERGY STAR certification.
CO Sensors
 Narrative describing air quality sensor system, including:

  • Make, model, and quantity of each thermostat unit in use

Environmentally Safer Coolants
 ONE of the following:

  • Model, make, and specification data sheet for each system that utilizes coolant, with the coolant type clearly identified

  • Images of equipment label showing the coolant type used for each HVAC system in use



MEASURE C7: VENTILATION SYSTEMS – PARKING DECKS




Revision to Standard:


Options [3 Points] (page 144): Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV). Facility uses air quality sensors mounted throughout the garage to detect undesirable levels of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). Sensors must be configured to (1) directly control fan operation, or (2) be continuously connected to a dedicated monitoring and control instrument which controls the fans, or (3) be continuously connected to a building automation system that controls the fans.
