Again....... - 2014-07-21 09:39

Why did you leave in such a great hurry?

It was not that your work called your name.

For once in the door, to your coffee you scurried.

A sigh left your lips without shame.

Did good conscience allow you to taste the small sips?

Did you listen to conscience at all?

While in haste you retreated from my threatening lips,

Your darkness still covers your pall.

Opportunity came and was wasted again.

You had not the strength to ask.

The hope that releases the severest of pain,

Is forsaken for some trivial task.

The Fabric of Life - 2014-07-21 19:20

Once a word is spoken, it is impossible to take it back.  The one who spoken it has ripped the fabric of life and placed his speech among the things that are.

Once an action is done, it is impossible to take it back.  It has ripped the fabric of Life and placed itself among the things that are.

So it is with sin.  So it is with righteousness.  It is delusional to think otherwise.

There is a place where God will sweep the fabric of life.  By His Holy will, he will clean all that is.  From that moment to eternity, wickedness will appear no more to rip the fabric of life.

Only righteousness will add itself to the fabric.  And life will prosper beyond the bounds of man's imagination.

What is not God, will be done away with.  Though one may ponder and search for it, it will not be found.  This too will affect the fabric of life.  And it will be known throughout eternity that God has done this; by the strength of his Holy Son's faithfulness, God has done this.

At that time an age will have come, and that age will have passed.  To which age do you desire to belong?

Shall you be of those who are swept away?  Or shall you be of those who eternally praise God for His strength and righteousness?  Will you be among the eternally dead or among the eternally living?

Do not be foolish and answer with what is obvious.  Any sane man can say he chooses what is best.  Rather understand these things and become.

The mercy in God's Holy sweeping of the fabric of life, is toward those who love his ways.  His eyes of love are in his hand as he sweeps away all that kills, divides, hates, and detracts.  None will escape.  He will protect his own with frothing vengeance.

Jesus has provided the refuge for any who will come and take the promise of God that has been written eternally in His Holy Blood.  But who is wise among men that he will consider these things and forsake his wickedness?  Who will prove he desires to remain?  Who will forsake wickedness that he may live?

Help Me if You Can - 2014-07-22 06:52

I can't find it in the Bible.  But it must be there somewhere.  We are told to do what Jesus did; to obey and glorify His Heavenly Father.

But I listen to my brothers and sisters.  They complain an awful lot.  It's too hot, it's too cold, or they're taking too long, or I just cant take it anymore.

I have no right to judge them.  I have complained myself.

Apparently it's normal and falls in line with God's expectation of us.  Apparently Jesus complained and grumbled quite a bit.

But I can't find it in the Bible.  It must be in the same place someone would expect to find mention of Jesus telling little white lies. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to point it out for me.

Limited Perfection - 2014-07-22 09:12

Psalm 119 is an absolutely astounding and beautiful writing.  It is greatly encouraging if you can find pieces in your life that match what is written.

Verse 96 says this: "To all perfection I see a limit, but your commands are boundless."  What a wonderfully intriguing passage.

I had always equated perfection with the law of God.  But the passage compares God's creatures to God himself.

If any creature will attain the perfection required of him, he will find the limit of expectation.  But God's ways include all His creatures and all his limits of expectations.  Eternity is His!

In this I take great heart.  I am not expected to be God.  I am not even expected to be my next door neighbor.  I am only expected to be the man God intends me to be.

Let us be true.  His expectations of a man are far too high for the man to reach alone.  No matter how he tries, the man will fail miserably.

But here we speak of the fullness of the gospel.  For those who become perfected are given new clothes to wear.  They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb, and so they are counted worthy.

The passage is release from anxiety.  God is sufficient for all.  And in truth, he asks very little of any of his creatures.

Let us attain to prayer.  Let us ask the Lord to wash us and make us perfect; according to his perfectly wise wisdom toward each one of us.

So much spawn from so few words.  Thus is the richly variegated wisdom of God.  And his ability to sustain all things through His Holy son Christ Jesus.

Awareness - 2014-07-23 06:53

They call me a man, and among them, yes I am.

But that is not the sum of my name.

For there are those who were, long before I was,

and they have been faithful to remain.

God is first and God is last,

all else falls to and fro.

Among the throng I do belong;

But a child, and from below.

--------

Ancient ages past have seen

The Faithful do His will.

Though in your sight maturity's mine,

A child I was, and still.

The pride of man: "I've grown enough;

I've conquered all I have.

Respect me now for I've become.

Yes, I've become a man!"

------

And He said,
“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

Poetic Justice - 2014-07-23 08:44

The Morning News tells me about you;

The things you did last night.

You shot a gun.

And now you've won

Fame's blazing white bright light.

You're quick on your feet.

Eyes, sharp as a knife.

Fingers that blur with deft speed.

But that's all there's to ya;

A vibrant young body.

A brainless intent t'ward pride.

The flash of your "best" is gone in a moment.

And now on t'ward hell you will ride.

But wasn't that your destination,

Before all this began?

Your life's no more than vomit;

Just reeking up the land!

A baby's dead,

You cursed spry man!

There!  Rest your frame tonight.

You have murdered your peer.

And you thought you were a man.

Give Up? - 2014-07-23 19:53

As a man practices so he becomes.  Those who practice wickedness are dead even while they live.  But those who continue to practice belief, hope and righteousness, have the promise from He who cannot lie.

"I look on the faithless with loathing, for they do not obey your word." (Psalm 119: 158)  Do not doubt that word, my friend.  It is as real as your desire to quit.  Even more so.  For you will cease to live, yet he remains forever.

If you're going to give up, no one can stop you.  Perhaps you've decided that's what you want to do.  And you've already started making preparations.

You ought to stop for a minute and think about these things:

The man who pushes through the impossible often finds great treasure.  And He Who plays the violin with determination often excels.

But the one who gives up, dies where he stands.  What joy he may have found is ripped from his possibilities.  And he's done this to himself.

And the one who simply dabbles in music never plays the beautiful song.

You may not have great standing before the Holy Lord.  But to stand at all, for any length of time, is better than to shrivel up and die.  And to have the Lord look on you with any measure of kindness, is better than to have him lothe your life.

Get up!  Have faith and keep kicking!  You have no idea what tomorrow brings.  It would be good for you to try to remember the way it was before you started to try.

If the possibility of reward does not fire you up, perhaps you ought to think of these things from God's perspective.

He made you.  He allowed you to understand.  And he placed far more hope in you than you can grasp.  You owe it to him to try.

Perhaps you did not realize it, but Christianity is not a feel good religion.  We are not called to be happy for the sake of pleasurable happiness.  We are called to die, everyday all day long.

Our Singular Purpose - 2014-07-24 09:04

"From the rising of the Sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised." (Psalm 113: 3)

In good times and in bad.  In sickness and in health.  Through riches and poverty.  Through gain and loss.  Till death are we united, The name of the Lord is to be praised.

He has set his way unmovable, he has established from Ancient of Days.  The creatures who were first, and the creatures who are last will encounter the same from the Living God.

There are the multitude who will praise Him; before, now and forever.  To join with them is the promise of the righteous; those who trust in the word of the Lord to the doing of it.

The rebellious will waste away and be no more.  But the living God, and all that is holy, will stand forever.  Praise to the living God in Christ Jesus His Holy Son will remain.  But the wicked will be confounded and lost in their terror.

Let all rise up against me, I will give praise to the Sovereign God through His Holy and Beautiful Son Christ Jesus.

You will do what you do by compulsion, you who despise what is holy.  The taller the Lord's people stand, the more venomous the hatred of those who hate the Lord.  This also is unmovable in this place of testing.  Why then should we shrink and seek a corner in which we must hide?

Is the Lord hidden in his glorious palace?  Did the Christ of God shirk his calling?  Did he not submit to the Holy will of the Holy One and live?

Is the testimony of the righteous brought to us because they ran to hide from the onslaught of wicked desire?  Have they not lived faithfully for the glory of the Lord who has purchased them and for the testimony which is able to give us strength to testify now?

What will be the saying of those who come after us?  Will they say, "Capitulation has occurred.  The righteous obedience to the living God has been spurned by those who lived that day."

If there are three who will praise the Lord, regardless their situation, then by all means let it come to be with great exaltation together!  You will not venture to service without me, oh holy brother.  And we will arrive in praise together.

Let our lips praise His name.  Let strength greater than Sampson's come up on our souls to control the sinful nature.  In word and in deed, let our testimony blaze among men.  Let us fan into flame, blazing flame, the gift of faith and the gift of obedience.  Let a desire to praise Him consume us with holy zeal.

Then a testimony will be written for those who come after.  By this the Lord will provide, even as he has provided for us.  We have an obligation to him.  And in the meeting of this obligation we will have passed down what is ours to give.  We will pass down what is marked indelibly, "GOOD" .

May the name of the Lord be praised for ever!  He is righteous and true, faultless in all his judgment!  Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty; who was, and is, and is to come!

His appearing blazing fire of righteousness will consume his enemies.  And those who put their trust in the holy Son of God will stand firm forever.

Amen!

Slander - 2014-07-25 02:07

A paraphrase of the legal definition of slander is that one tells a lie to one or more people about someone else.

In my mind, there is not alot of diference here between slander and gossip.  Except that sander has overtones of malicious intent.  Whereas gossip may have a relatively innocent tone.  And gossip has to do with passing on what someone else has said.  While slander has a particularly focused origin.

Now, when we think about the word "lie", we do not necessarily have to contrive something from our imagination.  There is a lie in slander, in which we know the truth but twist it purposely to cause injury.

Likewise there is a lie in slander in which we think we know the truth but I do not have the full information.  This is the place where slander is very similar to gossip.

The first is malicious in its intent.  The second is just full of stupidity.  (alright, alright, think PC...... Ignorance)

The reason I bring this up has to do with the slander of celestial beings.  There's no need for me to waste my time on the topic of slander between men.

While we may know the truth in regard to the gospel, it does not necessarily follow that we know that truth in regard to the history of heaven.  So when we speak about certain issues we speak without knowledge.

I'm not sure how much more I need to point out before the reader gets a grip on where I'm going with this.  But let me surmise ignorance, if you please.

In human terms, we slander one another all day long.  We suppose what good another should do, but we do not know what comprises the thoughts of the person we slander.  That is to say, we don't know the history of that person.  We don't know the reason why they cannot accomplish our expectation.

So it is with Satan and all his dominion.  What man was there to see him in all his splendor?  What man gave God counsel to ban him from the throne?

Make no mistake, I am not siding with the evil one in his undeserved plight.  I am once again pointing out something I hear spoken quite often.

How should we best approach this entire subject regarding Satan?  In the interest of avoiding slander, would it not be better to put our focus on the things we can know?

For instance, we know what we should do, yet we fail to accomplish God's expectations.  I suspect, if we gave that our all, we would be consumed far too heavily to spend wasted moments in slander of another.  Would it not be better to close our mouths and simply do what we are told.

I understand the zeal of a Christian.  When understanding of the plight of God comes clear, there is a very zealous desire to chastise the one who has brought such pain.  But this is something we should strive very hard to avoid.  God will take care of himself.

Our indignation is warranted.  Even a seething anger finds no apparent fault.  But to castigate without full knowledge is simply stupidity.

Then there is the moment when we realise the plight of man.  How we were unjustly tricked into sin and death.  Every hideous thing has come upon us.  And thoughts of rage begin to grow.

The very reason for this post is to help wisdom find a place to live.  Let's get one thing straight.  We are born again that we may become victims.  We are to suffer for the name of Christ.  We are not called to judge all creation.  God will do that using us as examples.  And we are not called to challenge all creation to a fight.  Jesus did that and won!

I hope this has been helpful to someone.  It is not the kind of conversation that is brought up at dinner very often.  It is not the kind of conversation you would hear from a pulpit(sadly).  And it's not the kind of conversation you would have with your mom as you're driving to the store.  But slander of celestial beings is done popularly everyday (particularly by Christians).

Believe! - 2014-07-25 11:38

Men do not believe.  They do not believe that God is true.  So they go about their hopeless affairs as if God does not care.

Why?   Why can men not bring themselves to believe that God cares?  Is it that they have not read his promises?  Or is it that they have prejudged the Holy Lord and decided even his writings are of no value.

Men do not believe the words of the Holy Lord of life, because they themselves are the only witness they witness.  And they count the Holy One as if he were like them.

They live their lives in error, far more than correctness.  They are full of fault and double minded in everything they do.  Their lives are a series of catastrophic failures.  All the while they live in a place that renews, even by itself, sustained by the Holy Lord, for the mercy of salvation.

They are wicked to the very core of their existence, and cannot find one righteous pure action within their members.  They wake in the morning having sinned on their bed.  They go through their day without knowledge, and lost in futility.  Evening comes to them and finds them immersed in trivial and worthless things.

Everyday is the same.  Therefore they judge from their own knowledge.

They know they are made of such things, and they suppose there is no better than they.  For along with the futility of their life, comes pride.  Humility is not desired, for certainly their weakness will be known.  Truth is far from them.  And embracing life is better.

So with a small wave of their hand and up raised chin, they dismiss the things of the Holy Lord of life.

They have lost nothing for they had nothing.  They stand to gain nothing for they will not believe.

They look for proof that God is, and that He is righteous.  They set their feet firm saying, "I will not move until I know for sure."

They spout great things of how the Lord will receive them because they are good people.  They are vicious creatures against the rule of God, while they consider themselves as pure.  All the while the Lord remains a fire of pure Holy Righteousness and merciful Love.

They look for mercy but do not repent of their sins.  They make no effort to learn of, or please the Most High God.  They count him as less than what is flushed down the toilet.  How then shall they be received by He who is Holy and Eternal?

You who do not believe.  You know that there is more than yourself.  Yet you remain like stone in your rebellion.

Remain then and die.  The Lord's kingdom will move far from this place without you.  You will be left a beggar with your own witness witnessing against you.

The good news of God is all over this world.  The glorious news that God has prepared a way to embrace you, abounds.  Make your choice today.

DESIRE - 2014-07-27 07:06

What a man perceives to be good, he does.  Those things he holds precious, he yearns for and grasps to take.  He sleeps and dreams of the good he perceives.  He eats that strength might attend his limbs, in the gaining of his desire.

So it is with the things of this world.  Mention your desire to yourself.  Assess what captures your desire.  Examine yourself to determine what you hold dearest.

Let us not be like the mocking bird.  Let us not mouth great things that are absent from our desire.  But let truth attend your assessment.

Where is God's desire among your doings?  Where is the desire to be holy and full of Holy promise?  Is it more than the mass of lesser desires of this world?

Perhaps your desire for the things of this world is divided into small desires.  Perhaps it is not that you desire the gold of men.  Perhaps you desire what can be the subtle lie of man; the smaller and less obvious forms of passing lie.  Yet the sum of them amounts to a vast portion of your desire.

Assess with truth.  Present yourself before God and ask for understanding of all your ways.  He will show you.  Will you perceive His showing?  What will come next at your willingness to perceive what is shown?

The Lord Jesus has shown us what to do that we may overcome the things of this world.  He has shown us from where Holy Strength comes.  The strength of God appears upon us as we desire Him.  Ask for desire.  When desire comes, take note.  Ask for more.  You will not love His Holy Laws without the holy desire of God living in you.

Yet if we receive, that which He has desired and yearned to give, we will come to love His Holy Laws with earnest and intense strength.  As we desire we will not desire to cease prayer or obedience.  Desire is KEY.

Enoch knew it.  Abraham lived it.  Noah sweated desire.  Millions now own it.  Billions now rest in His Holy presence because they embraced the desire for what is Holy.

Desire, Holy and full Desire, attended the Lord's every moment.  It was strong enough to lift Him, full of willingness, to the bloody and horrible enduring of death on a cross.  What a small thing the Lord demands of us:  "Desire Me!"  Especially considering He is able and willing to grant the earnest soul desire.

161  Rulers persecute me without cause,

but my heart trembles at your word.

162  I rejoice in your promise

like one who finds great spoil.

163  I hate and detest falsehood

but I love your law.

164  Seven times a day I praise you

for your righteous laws.

165  Great peace have those who love your law,

and nothing can make them stumble.

166  I wait for your salvation, Lord,

and I follow your commands.

167  I obey your statutes,

for I love them greatly.

168  I obey your precepts and your statutes,

for all my ways are known to you.

(Psalm 119)

The Holy Predator - 2014-07-27 07:35

I am caused to be a predator.  I create the trap.  I wait patiently to devour.  I am hungry, with constant hunger.

Stealth attends my every movement.  Great and ceaseless strength attends my wiles.

I build the trap where feet trod unsuspecting.  They walk without knowledge of my presence.

I am a predator of life.  I create the trap of life.  I wait patiently to devour with the Love of God.  I am ever hungry for salvation to appear among my fellow men of flesh.

Faith attends my every moment.  Great and ceaseless faith attends my holy wiles.  Wisdom from God, granted with abundance, flows within my blood.

I present the Gospel in the very place where the feet of men trod, unsuspecting, unsearching, and without awareness of knowledge.

Come!  Pass me by.  Sneak up upon me with the stealth you own.  Surprise awaits you.  Life is yearning to violently embrace your soul.

Sin will die!  Holiness will appear!  You will die to the things of this world, that you may life for the things of God!

Come!  Indeed, come!

My Bag of Flesh - 2014-07-27 07:46

Witness my bag of flesh.

God in His Holy Wisdom has granted me a tent.

Is it beauty, as the world counts beauty?

The world doesn't perceive what lay within.

I cannot display my soul.

You cannot see the Spirit of God.

Yet with eyes, filled with faith, Perception appears.

Come see!

Come live!

Come obey!

Come receive abundantly!

Amen.
