SENIOR ANIMAL ATTENDANT

Duties: The Senior Animal Attendant, Monarto Fauna Holding Complex is accountable to the Curator of Wildlife, Cleland Wildlife Park, for ensuring the delivery of effective rare and endangered species breeding and research programs (seized, surrendered flora and fauna). The incumbent is responsible for an overall leadership role of a small complement of staff and works in close cooperation with key stakeholders.




Special Conditions: Initial appointment is at the Monarto Fauna Holding Complex, however the incumbent may be required to serve at Cleland Wildlife Park. Normal hours of duty will be 76 hours to be worked over a nine day fortnight including weekends and public holidays. A penalty rate is paid for weekend work. Some overnight periods away from base may be required, as will some amounts of intrastate travel. A current driver's licence is essential. Required to wear a uniform.
