A Microsoft Silver Partner represents the top 5% of partners.
A Microsoft Gold Partner represents the top 1% of partners and denotes a best-in-class capability within a specific area.
Each tier requires you to:
• Be a member of Microsoft’s partner program Meet training and performance requirements specified by the competency you’re pursuing Have at least two Microsoft-certified professionals in your organization (number varies by competency and membership tier Complete a licensing overview and sales & marketing assessment Pay the annual fee o Silver $1670 o Gold $4730 Prices are in USD. Additional taxes and fees may apply

How to earn a competency
For each competency, there’s a specific set of requirements to meet. These requirements fall into two categories skills and performance. Competencies with skills requirements include exam, assessment or certification requirements. Performance requirements ask that your company meets a specific revenue threshold or business outcome (increasing your customer base by a specific number of customers, for example).
