Small 8vo. gilt-stamped cloth. 388pp. Unpublished, only one copy bound & printed. A little printery called Aeonian (stated only on the binding) was to print this edition using Grosset & Dunlap plates. This edition was to be published by another small press in Oklahoma at the time of the centennial (1989) of the first run into Oklahoma, but the gilt stamping on the front cover was not as nice as the publisher wanted & the edition died in its infancy. The stamping is actually quite strong, but some of the underlying cloth shows through in little pinpricks or tiny gaps in the gilt. The stamp is of a prairie schooner over the outline of the State of Oklahoma. Above it are the words: "1889 1989". Under it are the words: "Centennial Edition". With this copy comes the 5/8" thick, 1 7/16" x 2 1/8" original metal stamp, in a little custom nylon pouch with black flocked faux velvet finish. Your bookseller received this original printing information directly from the publisher. Fine copy. No dust jacket was printed. Rader 1355. (#0711120) $225.00
