This set in better than very good condition, the exception being that on the final index page of volume III, there is a very short edge tear (1/2") closed & collateral creases. Parallel creases to following blank page before endpaper. They have been somewhat pressed out. Some, but not all of the upper fore corners have just enough wear so that that the boards underneath are exposed. A most attractive set with appropriate gilding to the subject. Very scarce.
