3736. Wright, Ed. THE REPRESENTATIVE by OLD COWBOY - ED WRIGHT (Variant Copy). Privately Printed, N.p., 1954, 1954. Limited Edition. Book. BIBLIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: This book, although the cover is titled as stated, is actually Wright's other book, PARTNERS (published by Vantage Press in 1958). The pictorial drawing on the cover is the same as that on THE REPRESENTATIVE OLD COWBOY ED WRIGHT (published in 1954 in an edition ltd to 500), but the text is, with some variations in the collation of the preliminary pages, the same as PARTNERS. The length is 210pp. (as in PARTNERS). This copy is illustrated with eight pages of photos not found in either THE REPRESENTATIVE or PARTNERS. The drawings by Don Whiston, are, however, as printed in PARTNERS. This copy was stapled and then bound in tan paper covered boards. The fly leaf is a simple copyrighted title page (unlike the title page of PARTNERS), with a reproduced photo of a cow boy on a rearing horse. Over the copyright is printed: "A 135613 A". As noted above, following the title page is a section of eight glossy photos including a "Daily Program Wyoming State Fair Wednesday, September 30, 1914". I'm sure there must be a story behind this somewhat tangled thicket of bibliographical & publishing data. Final comment: note that this title is not quite exactly the same as THE REPRESENTATIVE COWBOY ED WRIGHT of 1954. This copy has an old, somewhat homemade plastic protector taped over the boards (with little or no tape on the boards themselves). Vg. Very Good. Hardcover. (#0505158) $98.42

Since there's peace among the natives, no more arrows zip, zip, zip." Some soiling & minor edge tears. Vg. Scarce. Very Good. Paperback. (#9605153) $25.52
