Uses and examples: (cách dùng và ví dụ) - Diễn tả một hành động đang diễn ra trong lúc nói. Ex: Listen! The bird is singing. I am studying now. - Diễn tả 1 hành động dự kiến trong tương lai gần đã được sắp xếp xong. Ex: They are playing tennis next week. - Với chữ always đế diễn tả một lời phàn nàn Ex: He is always making noise. - Diễn tả 2 hành động xảy ra song song ở hiện tại Ex: She is cooking dinner while her husband is watching T.V now. - Diễn tả hành động có tính chất tạm thời Ex: I often go to work by bus, but today I am going by motorbike. * Dấu hiệu nhận biết: Trạng từ chỉ thời gian Now: Bây giờ Right now: Ngay bây giờ At the moment: Lúc này At present: Hiện tại At + giờ cụ thể: Lúc … giờ Today: hôm nay (chỉ một dự định) Một số động từ Look! Nhìn kìa! Listen! Hãy nghe này!) Keep silent! Hãy im lặng! Watch out! Hãy coi chừng LƯU Ý: Không dùng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn với các động từ chỉ trạng thái như: know (biết), believe (tin tưởng), understand (hiểu), belong (thuộc về ai), need (cần), hate (ghét), like (thích), love (yêu), want (muốn), hear (nghe), see (thấy), smell (ngửi), sound (dường như), taste (niếm, thử), own (sở hửu), remember (nhớ). --> chuyển thành thì hiện tại đơn.
