Assessment form of the acquisition of the study course: At the end of the study course the students sit for the graded examination. The student receives the final assessment in the study course “Urgent Issues in Pedagogy” due to the summarized points obtained in practice sessions, for autonomous works and the examination.

The title of the study course: Basic Rhetoric

The title of the study programme: The 2nd level professional higher education study programme “Teacher – Speech Therapist”

Amount: 2 CP, 3 ECTS

The aim of the course: To promote the development of the personality focused on humanity, to help to comprehend rhetoric as a feature of overall and social culture of personality, to refine skills for eloquent speeches, which are useful for the human as a personality and the teacher.
Envisaged result: The course in rhetoric introduces with the concepts and general categories: the essence of rhetoric, orator’s art, the orator, as well as the educationalist personality’s most characteristic features.

The course envisages creating the conception on the various communication issues during the public monologue, on the psychological and logical barriers and the opportunities of their conquering.

The students are provided with a survey on rhetoric throughout the centuries, on the diversity of the contemporary public speech, as well as the students’ skills of the public speech are being developed.
