Joshua O'Neill and Zeshan Tabani Enrichment Fund

The Joshua O'Neill and Zeshan Tabani Enrichment Fund offers financial assistance of up to $2000 to young adults with Down syndrome who wish to continue to enrich their lives by enrolling in postsecondary programs or taking classes that will help them attain employment, independent living skills, life skills or another way.  To date, over thirty students have received grants from NDSS to help cover the costs of pursuing their postsecondary education and enrichment goals. Click here to download the application (PDF). Family RA Scholarship Program

UCB is proud to announce the national rollout of the Family RA Scholarship Program and will offer 30 one-time scholarships of up to $10,000 each in 2009 each to students living beyond the boundaries of rheumatoid arthritis.


This opportunity extends to participants diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and their immediate family members (parent, spouse, child, or sibling) who are seeking an associate's, undergraduate, or graduate degree, or are enrolled in a trade school educational program. Amount: Three $2,000 scholarships
Candidate: intended for caregivers of children affected with bleeding disorders, a person who has been diagnosed with hemophilia, or a sibling of a person diagnosed with hemophilia. Scholarships for Mental Health
Lilly Center for Reintegration
In order to be eligible for consideration for the Lilly Reintegration Scholarship, applicants must:


  • Be diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizophreniform, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder.

  • Be currently receiving medical treatment for the disease, including medications and psychiatric follow-up

  • Be actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts or school enrollment

The awards vary.

The Lilly Reintegration Scholarship program is designed to offer financial assistance for a wide range of educational opportunities in which students work to attain a certificate or degree.* Eligible programs include:


  • High school equivalency programs

  • Trade or vocational school programs

  • Associate degrees

  • Bachelor degrees

  • Graduate degrees

* Please note, noncredit, online and distance learning courses are not covered under the scholarship.

Scholarships for Students Who Have Autism
AHEADD
Offers book scholarships in the amount of $500 to qualified students who have autism or Asperger Syndrome. The deadline for applications is August 15, 2008.

CVS Pharmacy Autism Scholarship

The CVS/All Kids Can Scholars Program, administered by the Autism Society, provides a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a qualified individual with autism to be applied toward the completion of an accredited, postsecondary educational or vocational program of study (e.g., college, trade school, etc.)
Schwallie Family Scholarship Program
The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is currently preparing for the fall 2010 Schwallie Family Scholarship Competition to support qualified individuals with autism or Asperger Syndrome residing in the United States pursuing post-secondary education.
OAR will present awards of $3,000 each across three categories:

  • Four-year undergraduate college or university;

  • Two-year undergraduate college, and;

  • Trade, technical or vocational school.

These will be one-time awards for any recipient.
