SUMMARY


I have been blessed in my life with a great diversity of leadership experiences including secondary education, the traditional church, urban community organization, cross cultural missions, and the college classroom. Through these experiences I have been privileged to minister cross culturally to Hispanic and African American congregations in Atlanta and Orlando as well as through short term missions to Mexico, Ecuador, Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

FAMILY


I have been married since March 1996 to Angela Catrice of Soddy Daisy, TN. My wife received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Lee College in 1995 and is a licensed teacher for grades K-8. Our first child, Whitney Brynn, was born on June 5, 1999, and our second child, Wesley Caleb, was born February 19, 2004.

My responsibilities as a staff member included teaching various college level courses including Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Christian Ethics, Urban Missions and Gospel of John. I was also responsible for coordinating and directing the ministry training practicum of Master’s Commission students in the local church. My further duties included the development of Master’s Commission collegiate training sites in new areas.
1998-1999 College & Career Pastor, South Cleveland Church of God, Cleveland, TN

As college and career pastor I was responsible for the Wednesday and Sunday classes as well as all social and ministry activities for the 18 to 25 year age group.
1997-1999 Teaching Assistant to the Academic Dean, Church of God Theological Seminary, Cleveland, TN

Among my responsibilities were administrative duties concerning both the student body and the faculty. These duties included coordination of directed studies, the graduation application process, processing of applications for incompletes, updating of course syllabi for the self-study review and processing the course/teacher evaluations. I also assisted the dean in dealing with the various academic needs of students. My further responsibilities involved academic research, student evaluation and other class-related preparations.


1995-1997 High School Teacher, Hiawassee Christian Academy, Orlando, Florida

I taught Bible, Spanish, History, Government, and Advanced Math at all high school grade levels. I was also the head coach of the varsity baseball team, the junior high boys basketball team and the junior high girls volleyball team. I led praise and worship during our weekly chapel services as well as being the speaker for many chapels and special events.
