The summer is flying by and hard to believe it’s almost mid July! Here’s the latest ARC news … ANNUAL CLUB MEETING/ELECTIONS – SATURDAY, JULY 16 Our annual club meeting and elections will be held Saturday, July 16, at Day’s Farm in Moreland, GA (directions at the end of this newsletter). Please mark this date on your calendar, and plan to attend this very important meeting. We’ll do some light training in the morning, then break for lunch and the meeting at around noon. Lunch will be provided (grilled burgers and hotdogs, etc.) - Please RSVP to Stuart Gray (stuart_gray@homedepot.com or 770-908-0270). At this meeting, we’ll elect officers & board members for the year, as well as discuss our fall field trial and hunt test plans. For your reference, the current board and the proposed slate are attached. WHAT: Club meeting/Elections WHERE: Day’s Farm TIME: 8:00 a.m. - Training 12:00 p.m. – Lunch/Meeting EVAN GRAHAM SEMINAR – The Evan Graham training seminar hosted by ARC June 24 -25 was a great success. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback on the seminar, and the club hopes to host more of these types of events in the future. DOGS IN THE NEWS We’ve had some club members & their dogs very active in events including: Congratulations to all ARC members who ran in our Spring hunt test and field trial. Results are posted on www.entryexpress.net Cade Gentry and Jessie took 2nd in the Super Retriever Series in Virginia this spring! Phillip Seay and Hunter, who went 2/2 in East TN to obtain Hunter’s AKC Senior Hunter title! Joe Cooper and Fox took 3 Qualifying seconds and a third this spring, and a Jam in the Amateur! FC FTCH Day’s End Northern Express (Pepper) and Jane Sutter won the National Amateur Retriever Championship held in MN June 19 -25!!! Congratulations to all on your accomplishments! MEMBERSHIP ROSTER An Updated membership roster is also attached to this newsletter. Directions to Day’s Farm: Take I-85 South to exit 41, Hwy. 27/29/41. Go left as you come down the exit ramp (south) on to Hwy 27/29/41. Go approximately 2 miles and turn right on Church Street. Travel approx. .3 miles to a 3-way stop and turn right on Bethlehem Church Road. Go approximately 1.2 miles to Allen Road and turn left. (Allen Road is just on the left as you go under the I-85 overpass). Stay on Allen Road for .9 miles and turn right on BoBo Banks Road. Go approximately .5 miles to the gravel drive on the left at the top of the hill. Signs will be posted at the entrance.
