The Atlanta Yacht Club is pleased to announce the annual AYC Open Regatta to be held Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 2011, on Lake Allatoona, Georgia. Please plan to join us for a great weekend of sailing and other festivities at AYC.

Regatta Entry (Before April 26) : $30.00 (US Sailing Member)

$35.00 (Non US Sailing Member)

Late Entry (After April 26) : Add $5.00

Directions:
Atlanta Yacht Club is located on Yacht Club Drive, off of Kellogg Creek Rd. in Acworth, Georgia
From I-75, exit on Hwy. 92 and proceed north approx. 1 mile. After crossing a bridge turn left onto Hunt Rd. which will then turn into Kellogg Creek Rd. Follow this for approx. 1.5 miles and then turn left onto Yacht Club Drive. Follow Yacht Club Drive for 1.2 miles until you see the entrance gate for the Atlanta Yacht Club.

Notice of Race

1. Rules:

 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing..

2. Eligibility and Entry:

 2.1 This regatta is open to all boats of the Thistle, Y-Flyer, Snipe, Flying Scot and Laser Classes.

 2.2 Registration in advance can be completed on the website. Entry must be completed no later than Tuesday April 26, 2011. Entry forms received after this date will incur a late entry fee. Late registration may also be completed Saturday April 30th between 9am and 10:45am at the check in desk.

Dinner Saturday $13.00

Saturday, April 30: Late Registration: 9 AM – 10:45 AM

Competitors meeting: 11 AM

Warning Signal 1^st Race: 12:25 PM

Races 2 and 3 to follow
Sunday, May 1: Warning Signal Race 4: 9:25 AM

Race 5 to follow

No warning signal will be made after 12:25 PM

5. Sailing Instructions and Courses:

The Sailing Instructions will be available at Late Registration / Check In and at the competitor’s meeting. The courses will be described in the Sailing Instructions.

6. Scoring:

Five races are scheduled; one race completed constitutes a regatta. No score will be excluded.

7. Awards:

Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each Class.

8. Disclaimer of Liability:

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
