Bibb County Board of Education met in Regular Session September 4, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Central Office.
The Invocation was given by Mrs. Stoudemire followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mr. McMillan.
Roll Call was conducted by Board President, Mike Oakley:

Mrs. Dailey made a motion to amend the agenda by adding an additional item to the agenda, to approve Eric Hiott, Special Education Teacher, West Blocton High School, to teach P.E. at West Blocton Elementary as needed. Mrs. Stoudemire seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
After amending the agenda, Mr. Moody made a motion to approve the amended agenda. Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Lauren Butts presented the 2nd of two FY13 Budget Hearings.
Mrs. Stoudemire made a motion to approve the FY13 Budget. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve Minutes from August 28 and August 30, 2012 Board Meetings. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve July 2012 Bills. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
July 2012 Financials were received.
Mrs. Stoudemire made a motion to go into Executive Session. Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. McMillan made a motion to return to Regular Session. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Stoudemire made a motion to accept and approve the resignation of Katie Tubbs as Para Professional Aide, Bibb County High, effective Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to employ Edgar Cook as District School Bus Driver. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Stoudemire made a motion to employ Shelia Nabors as Child Nutrition Manager, West Blocton High School, start date is October 1, 2012. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to employ Gloria White as Para Professional Special Education Aide, West Blocton Elementary School. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. McMillan made a motion to employ Amanda Shuttlesworth as Program Manager for Woodstock Elementary School after school program. Mrs. Stoudemire seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Stoudemire made a motion to employ Fiona DeSimone as Program Tutor for Woodstock Elementary School after school program. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to employ Caitlyn Lippeatt as Program Instructional Assistant for Woodstock Elementary School after school program. Mrs. Stoudemire seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Stoudemire made a motion to employ Amiee Dunavant as Program Teacher for Woodstock Elementary School after school program. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to employ Emily Rooker as Program Teacher for Woodstock Elementary School after school program. Mrs. Stoudemire seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. McMillan made a motion to employ Karmen Deerman as Program Director for Woodstock Elementary School after school program. Mrs. Stoudemire seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to employ Roy Lowery as maintenance help for up to 20 days. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Stoudemire made a motion to approve the following substitute applicants, requirements met: Kim Brundage, Lorene Earnest, Robert Franks, Kandi Massey. Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve a field trip for West Blocton Middle School 5th and 6th grade to travel to Washington D.C. May 16-20, 2013. Students, Parents and Teachers will travel by Landmark Tours Charter Buses. All costs will be paid by students and parents participating. Bibb County Board of Education will not incur any costs for this trip. Mrs. Stoudemire seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve Bid #11/12-07 – Cafeteria equipment for West Blocton High. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Bibb County Board of Education will hold its next Board Meeting, October 2, 2012, 5:00 p.m. in the Central Office.
Mr. Moody made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:50 p.m. Mrs. Stoudemire seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
We the undersigned, being all of the Bibb County Board of Education in attendance of the September 4, 2012 Board Meeting, at which time a quorum was present and voting do hereby sign these minutes of the within and foregoing meeting to things had and done at said meeting.
