Went out today, got a 5.6 pound mac, 1 other small one, and a porgy, nothing on my bottom rods. Saw a few pomps caught this morning, more macs (inc 1 kclancey got the same size as mine, and another he got just a little smaller) and a horde of croakers.

went out around 3am this morning, I met phillybass, tommy, jack and other guys I don't remember the name...set up my shark rod I got yesterday (penn slammer 6'6" rod with penn senator 6/0), got a croaker and a jack crevalle before sunrise, not many macks caught today, probably no more than 10-15 (a nice one form the T, 5-6 pounds), water was crystal clear, wind was calm and light rain was goin'on.
Decided to move to the T around 11am, Phil got a couple of nice sand perches out there on live shrimps, saw a couple of nice hogfish caught and a good size ytail (around 15 inches), no bite on bottom baits.
Phil left around 1pm 'cause he was freaking tired, weather started suck, I decided to fish the south side of the T for perches too with dead shrimps, first cast, nice bite, no hook, second cast, same nice bite, hook setup and hogfish on, was a nice 16 inches and 3 pounder.
In the meantime I was freelining a pretty good size live blue runner with no success, that bait was able to make a 6/0 clicker sing, but no scream...

I hit the pier up before Daybreak, about 4:30am, it was calm with a cold brisk breeze and I was loving being on the pier all by my lonesome self, it was slow until day break and Mackerel started hitting I caught 7 and released 5, kept the two largest they were hit and miss through the morning, I think it will pick up later in the day.
The water looked great with nice swells coming in when I left.
Fished a little with gotfishyfingers and he got a couple of macks also and it was nice chill'in with you Gotfishyfingers.
Nice Morning, I had to leave at about 9:30am to fix my Phone, it would have been nice to stay a little longer.

KY and Surferboy - nice catches !!! Last few days have looked really good to fish !!!
Lomax - what is the limit for normal folks without a commercial tag? Now THAT would be useful info.
Boatless and GFF - Way to go on the AM Macs today -
Momma is starting to contract more frequently now, so it looks like I will be getting my fishing fix online for a while so keep the reports coming everyone.

Got a big hit at the end of the day on my snook rod, im sure it was a big snook, over slot, but he frayed my 60lb leader an got away after about 10 minutes. Saw bridgefisher and lent him a rod to fish for macs with, had a cool afternoon, the fish were def biting!
