Walk to the D-Day Monument on Omaha Beach

Walk down the winding path to the beach, then west (left). Look back up at the cliffs to better appreciate the bravery and commitment of the soldiers who fought here, and to contemplate the daunting task they faced.

Continue along the beach, or the road that parallels the beach (rue de la 2ème Division US), for about 15 minutes, until you reach the remarkable D-Day Monument at the ocean’s edge.
