For Android Users
Follow the steps given below to find the MAC address of your Android mobile or Tablet :-
1. From the Android Home Screen, click the Menu Button and then go to Settings.
2. From the Settings Page, scroll down to bottom of the page. There you will find About Phone/Tablet
section and open it.
3. Now select Status section on the About Phone/Tablet page.
4. You can find your device's MAC address from the Wi-Fi MAC address section. Note it down.
5. The Media Access Control (MAC) address is a unique 12-character identifier (e.g. 00:00:00:00:00:0X)
for a specific piece of hardware, like the network adapter located in Wi-Fi devices
Or
1. On the Home screen, tap the Menu button and go to Settings.
2. Tap About Phone.
3. Tap Status.
4. Scroll down to see your Wi-Fi MAC address.
Or,
1. On the Home screen, tap the Menu button and go to Settings.
2. Tap About Phone.
3. Tap Hardware information.
4. Scroll down to see your Wi-Fi MAC address
Click on the following URL https://172.21.100.240:8443/mydevices/
You will find the following message
Login using Active directory – user name and password
Enter the MAC address noted in the format in the Device ID Column
Click submit
Now use

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Touch Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings.
3. Check Wi-Fi to turn it on. The table/Phonet scans for available Wi-Fi networks and
displays the names of those it finds.

5. Touch a network to connect to it. Based on the user group ex: students to IIMB-Students or IIMB-Hostel ,

Apple users
Follow the steps given below to find the MAC address of your Apple devices :-
Apple iOS 5.1 ](iPad & iPhone)
1. Select Settings.
2. Select General.
3. Select About.
4. Write down the Wi-Fi MAC Address.
Apple Mac OS X (Up to Tiger, Mac OS X 10.4)
1. Click on Apple Icon (upper left corner).
2. Select AirPort_._5._Write_down_the_Air_Port_ID'>System Preferences.
3. Select Network.
4. Select AirPort.
5. Write down the Air Port ID (Wi-Fi MAC address).
Apple Mac OS X (Lion and Mountain Lion, 10.7)
1. Click on Apple Icon (upper left corner).
2. Select System Preferences.
3. Select Network.
4. Select AirPort.
5. Click the Advanced… button.
6. Write down the Wi-Fi address

Locate and tap the Wi-Fi network you want to join. Based on the user group ex:

Wi-Fi networks require a password to join. Password-protected Wi-Fi networks are
indicated by the padlock icon . If you receive an error while joining a password protected
Wi-Fi network:
