(St. John’s, Tuesday, January 29^th, 2013) – Newfoundland’s Damian Follett and Maritimes Andy Brown join The Blind Boys Of Alabama on their Atlantic Canadian tour, coming up February 8^th to the 12^th.
Damian is the “Springsteen of Newfoundland,” known for his 4 hour non-stop solo sets in various venues throughout the province. While we’ve had to rein him in to 35 minutes for his special guest appearance with The Blind Boys of Alabama in Newfoundland on February 8th, and music fans can expect a great showcase from this talented Newfoundland singer /songwriter” – David Carver.
Maritime Folk Rocker Andy Brown has a style all his own, taking you on a lyrical journey that transcends a realm torn between love, happiness, and sorrow. “Andy carries the special guest torch for the Halifax Feb 9^th, Moncton February 11^th and Saint John February 12^th Blind Boys of Alabama dates.” – David Carver.
In a career that has spanned over 60 years, audiences all over the world have been electrified by the live performances of the Blind Boys Of Alabama. And though the band maintains their deep roots in Gospel, they have done what the fans have been waiting for, bringing their old-school stylings to all kinds of music and delivering spectacular (and Grammy-winning) albums and a live show that leaves you with hope, inspiration, and a sense that life is good.
