For Immediate Release CONSERVANCY WILL HOST 6TH ANNUAL A PASSION FOR PIEDMONT ON SEPTEMBER 25 Limited tickets still available ATLANTA (August 6, 2008) – A Passion for Piedmont is an Italian-themed event that brings together a diverse group of Atlantans to raise needed funds for Piedmont Park. The annual gala will be held on the restored shores of Lake Clara Meer inside Piedmont Park on September 25th at 7 P.M. Proceeds will benefit the Park’s youth-based environmental programs, daily maintenance and security.
More than 3 million visitors enjoy Piedmont Park annually, and the Conservancy manages more than 95% of the park’s daily operation. The Conservancy has paved the way for greater accessibility to the Park, and has transformed this once forgotten gem.
We host A Passion for Piedmont to ensure the Park is around for generations to come. More than 600 attendees will enjoy a delightful evening of great food, an open bar and a fabulous auction. The Whole World Improv Theatre Live will provide live entertainment.
Yvette Bowden is the new President and CEO of Piedmont Park Conservancy. “Piedmont Park is truly a regional park and it’s exciting to have events like A Passion for Piedmont to bring people to the Park from all over the region,” she said. “We are expecting over 600 guests and they will have an opportunity to see the park under the scenic Atlanta skyline at night and see it transformed into a beautiful Italian village. I have heard this is the best party of the year and I’m excited to be a part of it for the first time.”
Individual tickets are $75 and all proceeds benefit the park. Tickets are now available online.
