wsbtv.com CHANNEL 2 WSB-TV ANNOUNCES “KATIE” TO START SEPTEMBER 2012 ATLANTA, October 27, 2011 Channel 2 WSB-TV announced that it has picked up "Katie," the highly anticipated talk show hosted by Katie Couric. The show premieres in September 2012 and will air weekdays, live, at 3 p.m.
"After ABC returned the 3 p.m. time period to the affiliates, we looked at every opportunity," said Tim McVay, vice president and general manager of Channel 2 WSB-TV. "We searched for a show that would line up with our new 4 p.m. newscast. 'Katie' fit that bill."

In June the Disney/ABC Television Group signed a multi-year, multi-platform agreement with the award-winning journalist, best-selling author and popular TV personality. In addition to hosting the new nationally syndicated program “Katie,” Couric currently serves as a member of the ABC News team. “Katie” will be produced in conjunction with Disney-ABC and Jeff Zucker will be the executive producer.
