January Highlights:
New Airport Visitor Center Open for Business: The long awaited Visitor Information Center at Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta is now open for business! A partnership of the Atlanta CVB and Georgia Tourism, this visitors center will be home to information about our state for tourists arriving to Atlanta. The VIC is located in Domestic Arrivals and can’t be missed as you come up the escalators to head towards baggage claim. The only print collateral housed here at this time are the regional brochures (for us, the Historic Heart- land brochure) and the Georgia Travel Guide. The videos of each region, which we were included in, are also rolling on the big screens 24 hours/day.
2016 Georgia Travel Guide: This yearly publication is a community/state partnership and we have great coverage in this again. The CVB works throughout the year to provide information to the editor to ensure representation of Madison and Morgan County. In addition to great content within, our ½ page Ad was featured on page 2 of the guide (thanks to our friends at Atlanta Magazine)!
2016 Antebellum Trail Guide Reprint: This publication is created every 4 years by the communities of the Antebellum Trail Regional Travel Association. Each community is required to sell $2,700 worth of Advertising to cover the costs, and we sold $4,200 (which means, our section will be much larger)! The content looks great, and I was thrilled to be able to include our new Farmview Market!
Upcoming in February:
February 11 – CVB Retreat (9:30am – 2pm)
February 22 – GDEcD Camera Ready Workshop in Atlanta
February 29-March 3 – GaCVB Winter Meeting Conference
