Opis:

Before the opening of each call the programme publishes in advance terms of reference (ToRs) on the programme website. Interested project applicants are invited to study this document carefully, consult the project idea database, and contact the Alpine Space contact points (ACPs) or the joint secretariat (JS) for clarifications or informal feedbacks on their project ideas.

The call for proposal follows a two-steps application procedure.

In a first step applicants are requested to submit a short project description, called expression of interest (EoI). This information will be assessed by the JS with support of the ACP. The programme committee (PC) composed by the Partner States of the programme will select the EoIs: the best scored project proposals are invited to submit the complete application package (step 2).

Project applicants are invited to contact the ACPs for information and support.

Further details on both steps of the application procedure and on project implementation (e.g. template expression of interest, template application form, factsheets on project implementation) will be made available here by end of January.

Which topics are covered by the first call?

The Alpine Space programme is launching its first call for project proposals in Priority 1 “Innovative Alpine Space”, Priority 2 “Low Carbon Alpine Space” and Priority 3 “Liveable Alpine Space”. A detailed description of the Priorities can be found in the cooperation programme.

Opis:	RISE involves organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors (in particular SMEs), based in Europe (EU Member States and Associated Countries) and outside Europe (third countries). Support is provided for the development of partnerships in the form of joint research and innovation activities between the participants. This is aimed at knowledge sharing via international as well as inter-sectoral mobility, based on two-way secondments of research and innovation staff (exchanges) with an in-built return mechanism. The organisations constituting the partnership contribute directly to the implementation of the joint research and innovation activities by seconding and/or hosting eligible staff members. The proposed research and innovation activities should exploit complementary competences of the participants, as well as other synergies, and enable networking activities, organisation of workshops and conferences to facilitate sharing of knowledge, new skills acquisition and career development for research and innovation staff members. Activities can focus either on one dimension of mobility (intersectoral / international), or include a combination of both. Exchanges can be for both early-stage and experienced researchers' levels and can also include administrative, managerial and technical staff supporting the research and innovation activities of the proposal. Support for the exchanges between institutions in the EU Member States and Associated Countries covers only inter-sectoral secondments. Exchanges with institutions from third countries can be inter-sectoral secondments as well as secondments within the same sector. No secondments between institutions located in third countries or within the same EU Member State or Associated Country can be supported.

Opis:	Specific challenge: The specific challenge is to address networking gaps and deficiencies between the research institutions of the low performing Member States and regions and internationally-leading counterparts at EU level. Driven by the quest for excellence, research intensive institutions tend to collaborate increasingly in closed groups, producing a crowding-out effect for a large number of promising institutions. This is the challenge that a specific Twinning action will try to address. Scope: Twinning aims at significantly strengthening a defined field of research in a particular knowledge institution (a research active university or a public research organisation or a private non-profit research organisation) by creating a link between this institution and at least two internationally-leading research institutions in other Member States. Twinning will: •Enhance the S&T capacity of the linked institutions; •Help raise staff’s research profile as well as the one of the institutions involved.

Opis:	The FTI pilot supports projects undertaking innovation from the demonstration stage through to market uptake, including stages such as piloting, test-beds, systems validation in real world/working conditions, validation of business models, pre-normative research, and standard-setting. Match fixing poses a serious threat to the integrity of sports and sees an increasing involvement of international organised criminal groups. Cooperation between public and private actors is crucial to identify major risks that match fixing and corruption pose to the integrity of sport. Moreover, transnational financial flows resulting from sports betting are increasingly exploited by criminal groups for money laundering purposes. Therefore a stronger cooperation is imperative to combat effectively these phenomena.

Opis:	The purpose of this call is to bring together institutions that can develop solid evidence on the cost- effectiveness of investments in a wide range of measures to reduce the gap between the need for, and supply of, long-term care, including prevention, rehabilitation, assistive technologies and age-friendly environments as well as a more efficient organisation of care systems (notably through better coordination of the different actors involved in providing care). By establishing a network of institutions that have already collected relevant evidence, or are capable of doing so, it is expected that a common body of evidence can be generated and made available to policy makers across the EU, helping them to use public money in the most effective way in order to ensure access to high-quality care in a sustainable manner. More specifically, the network should: Gather evidence on the main causes of/pathways into dependency; Review the current state of the art in preventing dependency; Examine the potential for rehabilitation for various causes of dependency; Identify measures (removal of barriers, deployment of technical devices...) that would help people with functional limitations to remain independent longer and to have to rely less on care provided by others; Identify potentials for efficiency gains in the delivery of care, including through a better coordination of care delivered by medical and social care professionals and informal carers.

Opis:	This call for proposals for action grants is based on the 2014 annual work programme of the Justice Programme. It aims to co-fund national or transnational projects that support judicial cooperation in civil matters and transnational projects that support judicial cooperation in criminal matters, in particular the good functioning of the European Arrest Warrant and other mutual recognition instruments, both in line with the specific objective facilitate and support judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters of the Justice Programme. LE STUDIUM Fellowship campaign

LE STUDIUM® Loire Valley Insitute for Advanced Studies finances several programmes to welcome foreign researchers in the "Region Centre" for a one-year residency. Meanwhile, in order to get the full benefit of these recruitments, LE STUDIUM® leads a scientific animation that allows cross-disciplinary exchanges and the creation of lasting relationships with international research teams.

The call for applications, open from November to February each year, enables LE STUDIUM® independent Scientific Council to select ambitious research projects.

One of our programmes is open to foreign researchers who would like to propose a research project and come in the region Centre of France to lead this research project in a high level host laboratory.

A new call has been launched in November and will close on the 16^th February. You, or someone from your network, might be interested by this programme called “LE STUDIUM® RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP External Application”.

For selected researchers, LE STUDIUM® pays for research fellow’s salary, scientific animation and accommodation. We also deal with all logistics and administrative aspects (visa, residence permit, registration to social agencies, medical coverage, school for children, diverse activities…) to welcome the researcher and his family in exceptional good conditions.

I invite you to consider the opportunities offered by LE STUDIUM® to build or strengthen relationships with a research team and an international research community. The different programs may as well be linked to the diversity of what we can offer. Global Impact Competition 2015 - looking for great students to participate

Global Impact Competition CEE is looking for great students in the region.

After the great success of the first three Global Impact Competitions (GIC) in the CEE region, applications are now open for the 2015 edition. You can help your smartest students to get access to this opportunity.

PROGRAM ALPINE SPACE, Projekt WIKIAlps

projekt WIKIAlps, ki ga prek Programa Alpine Space sofinancira Evropski regionalno razvojni sklad, se s koncem leta zaključuje. V preteklem letu smo v okviru projekta uspeli pripraviti številne stvari, ki vam lahko pomagajo pri doseganju bolj trajnostnega prostorskega razvoja v Alpah.

Najpomembnejši rezultat projekta je spletna enciklopedija WIKIAlps

(http://www.wikialps.eu/), o kateri smo vas že obveščali. To je wiki, namenjen prostorskemu razvoju v Alpah, kjer dobite osnovne informacije o izbranih projektih s področja prostorskega razvoja, predstavljeni pa so tudi njihovi rezultati.

V WIKIAlps lahko najdete tudi dokumente s področja prostorskega razvoja, bazo deležnikov, opisane so izbrane sinergije med projekti ter priporočila deležnikom s področja prostorskega razvoja.

Glede na to, da je projekt trajal le 15 mesecev, nismo mogli vključiti vseh projektov in vseh dokumentov, je pa wiki odprt za vse zainteresirane, ki ga lahko po predhodni registraciji lahko dopolnjujete z vsemi relevantnimi vsebinami. Lepo vabljeni k aktivnemu sodelovanju.

Zainteresirani smo za sodelovanje pri razvijanju portala eRegion Portal Development , http://eRegion.eu .
V času priprav razvojnih usmeritev in prednostnih področij Slovenije bo aktualna izbira področij pametne specializacije (smart specialization), za katera se bo Slovenija zavzemala. Ena izmed možnih usmeritev je lahko "Cross-border eCollaboration in the eRegion" (delovni naziv). V tem okviru se kaže pomembno zagotavljanje povezljivosti spletnih strani/portalov v državi in med državami e-regije.

Čezmejna regija, kakorkoli si jo zamišljamo, je za Slovenijo pomembna.

There is a significant attention given to cross-border (macro) regions in the European Union in last years. In our part of Europe that means the Danube, the Adriatic & Ionian, and the Alpine regions. Slovenia is the only country belonging to all three regions thanks to its geographical position. Slovenia is also one of the countries on the New Silk Road belt proposed by the China’s initiative named “16+1”, meaning 16 Central & East European countries + China ( http://eRegion.eu/Cross-border-eRegions/New-Silk-Road ). You may remember that the eRegion as a research and development area has been a component of the annual Bled eConferences and various events organized in Slovenia and the neighboring countries since 2000 (http://eregion.eu/initiative/history-events-archive ). The 4^th Danube eRegion Conference – DeRC 2014: Cross-border eSolutions & eServices Prototypes Development gathered over 200 participants from 14 countries in Ljubljana last September(http://eregion.eu/conferences/derc-2014).

V juliju 2007 je bila v Sloveniji sprožena pobuda Slovenia initiative Innovation for Life Quality - Slovenia Living Lab ( http://SloveniaLivingLab.org ). Seznam pobudnikov je objavljen na http://slovenialivinglab.org/en/initiators/index.html . Pobuda je nastala v okviru večletnega iskanja razvojne usmeritve, v kateri bi v Sloveniji izrabljali spoznane konkurenčne prednosti. Zapis o dogodkih od 2001 do 2010 - celega desetletja, ki so pomagali odpirati spoznanja o e-regiji, je objavljen na http://eregion.eu/initiative/history-events-archive .

Na podlagi teh spoznanj je bila v februarju 2011 v Sloveniji sprožena Medobčinska pobuda: Čezmejno e-sodelovanje v Podonavski e-regiji,
Inter-Municipality Initiative: Cross-border eCollaboration in the Danube eRegion, http://eRegion.eu/Initiative . Imena članov so objavljena na http://eRegion.eu/Initiative/Members .

Sedaj je odprt portal eRegion, http://eRegion.eu . Imena članov uredniškega odbora so objavljena na http://eRegion.eu/Initiative/eRegion-Editorial-Board . Portal bo tehnološka osnova povezovanja podatkov na mnogih spletnih straneh in portalih dogodkov, konferenc in projektov v e-regiji.

Evropska komisija potrdila programa transnacionalnega sodelovanja Območje Alp in Srednja Evropa

Evropska komisija je v tednu med 15. in 19. 12. potrdila prva dva programa transnacionalnega sodelovanja in sicer Območje Alp ter Srednja Evropa. S tem je odprta pot k objavi prvih razpisov na omenjenih programih; oba razpisa bosta predvidoma objavljena februarja 2015. Program sodelovanja in osnovne informacije za program Območje Alp najdete na tej povezavi. Za program Srednja Evropa pa so osnovne informacije in program sodelovanja na voljo na tej povezavi.

Prva najava nacionalne konference in info-dnevov transnacionalnih programov
