The City of East Point and Airport West CID Announce the Launch of a New Mobile App Designed To Improve Quality of Life
East Point, GA - The City of East Point in collaboration with the Airport West CID, now under the name Atlanta Aerotropolis, have established a public-private partnership for the purpose of creating a new app called Access East Point. The app serves as a platform for citizens to report non-emergency issues, and it allows the government to track, manage and respond to reports submitted. The overall goal is to make information accessible, and to beautify communities through transparency, collaboration and cooperation.
Access East Point features SeeClickFix technology, which provides users quick, easy and convenient access to the City of East Point while on-the-go. “See” a problem such as potholes, graffiti, damaged sidewalks, code violations, downed trees and power outages; “Click” on the app to report the issue to the City; and East Point will “Fix” the issue within a reasonable amount of time. Users will also be able to provide East Point staff with pictures, videos, specific descriptions, and other valuable information needed to resolve a problem more efficiently. Additional features of the app are:
-
MARTA Bus and Rail Schedules
-
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Flight Information
-
Direct Access to the City of East Point

East Point City Manager Frederick Gardiner said the Access East Point app is user-friendly, and a great way to bring city services right to residents’ fingertips. “The City of East Point is very excited about the opportunities afforded us via See Click Fix application,” stated Mr. Gardiner. “The ability not only to receive information from citizens, but to push information out to citizens via an app is invaluable.”
A spokesman for the Atlanta Aerotropolis Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) expressed excitement regarding the joint venture. “I have seen how a public-private partnership can develop and transcend a community,” said Jon Antoine, Safety Director of the Atlanta Aerotropolis CIDs. “We serve as a voice for area businesses and property owners, and by partnering with the City of East Point on this initiative, that voice is not only heard, but understood,” said Antoine.
Access East Point is available for download on Android and iPhone. In addition to the mobile app, citizens will be able to report issues through the City of East Point’s new website, which is scheduled to “go live” at the end of June.
