On behalf of the Managed Care Network (MCN), local authority partners and Edinburgh Leisure, we are pleased to invite you to attend a Promoting Physical Activity for People with a Learning Disability through Active Learning Event which is taking place on the 18th of May at Meadowbank Sports Stadium in Edinburgh.
The event will:

Provide you with information on how physical activity is essential in improving someone’s overall health and wellbeing

Share resources and information on how best to support someone with a learning disability to become more physically active
-
Allow protected time for sharing ideas of best practice to impact professional development in your role as a key promoter and enabler of supporting someone to be more active
-
Highlight physical activity national policy and relevance for learning disability, particularly in relation to higher health needs
-
Explore physical activity pathways into the community and leisure services
-
Integrate physical activity promotion into every day working
Most importantly, your views and opinions will help us to develop better and more responsive services for people who have a learning disability.
