Concordia University Wisconsin

Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) is a 4-year, NCA-accredited, co-educational, liberal arts school offering 55 undergraduate majors of study, 23 additional independent minors, 10 graduate programs and 5 adult education undergraduate majors. Concordia's attractive campus consists of 192 acres on the shore of Lake Michigan, just 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee. Founded in 1881, the university and its 17 adult education centers and classroom locations (in Appleton, Beloit, Green Bay, Hales Corners, Kenosha, Madison, Mequon, Milwaukee Midtown, Milwaukee South Center, Racine, Sheboygan, West Bend, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, New Orleans, St. Louis County and Wausau) are home to approximately 5,933 undergraduate and graduate, traditional as well as non-traditional students from 44 states and 26 foreign countries.

Concordia is one of ten colleges or universities in the Concordia University System, which is owned and operated by The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. CUW is accredited and approved by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the Department of Public Instruction, the National League for Nursing, the American Bar Association, the American Accreditation Counselor for Occupational Therapy Education, Commission on Accreditation in P.T. Education (APTA), Council on Social Work Education, and the Association of Collegiate Business Schools & Programs.

he Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) is Wisconsin's only four-year independent college devoted exclusively to the education of professional designers and fine artists. Accredited to award the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC), MIAD’s rigorous educational experience is grounded in integrated learning, professional preparation, and community service. Founded in 1974, for 30 years MIAD’s campus has provided a cornerstone of Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward neighborhood.

Mount Mary's nearly 1700 students represent various social backgrounds, ethnic origins and age groups. The college is located on 80 acres in a residential area on the northwest side of Milwaukee.

Mount Mary University is approved by the state of Wisconsin with full power to confer degrees, and by the Wisconsin State Department of Public Instruction for Teachers' Certificates. The university is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges. It also has full approval or accreditation for particular baccalaureate programs from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, the American Dietetic Association, the Council on Social Work Education, and the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research.



Sacred Heart School of Theology

Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology (SHSST) is the largest national seminary whose primary mission is the preparation of adult men with life experience for the Roman Catholic priesthood. Seminarians’ ages range from the 20s to the 60s and they must be sponsored by a diocese or religious congregation. SHSST awards a Master of Divinity degree and offers additional programs in Hispanic studies and English as a Second Language as well as continuing education. Sacred Heart in cooperation with Cardinal Stritch University offers a pre-theology program which provides the possibility of a combined Bachelor of Arts/Master of Divinity degree in five-and-a-half to six years. The seminary also awards a Master of Arts in theology degree, a program open to lay students.

Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee sponsors Saint Francis Seminary as its center for preparing men for the priesthood. As a community of prayer, worship and learning, the Seminary provides prospective priests with the spiritual foundation, theological understanding, and pastoral competencies required to serve collaboratively and effectively in a Church and society of many races and cultures. Through its library services, the Seminary also extends its resources to the Archdiocese and to the wider Church.

Wisconsin Lutheran College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The programs of teacher education are approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
