KYGO CELEBRATES 30 YEARS ON JULY 7TH THE EVENT IS MARKED WITH A MYSTERY CONCERT ON KYGO DAY IN COLORADO AS PROCLAIMED BY GOVERNOR RITTER DENVER, CO… KYGO first hit the air at 6am on July 7th, 1980. Three successful decades later to the day, KYGO celebrates its pearl anniversary with an exclusive mystery concert at the Grizzly Rose. Contest winners won’t know who the act is until the lights go down at 9pm on July 7th, 2010. Governor Ritter has proclaimed July 7th, 2010 as KYGO Day in the State of Colorado and Mayor Hickenlooper has done the same in the City and County of Denver. With KYGO’s longetivity directly tied to the support of the state’s listeners, it’s fitting that the act is a Colorado favorite that played a big part in the growth of KYGO. Wednesday night’s KYGO Mystery Concert is just part of the yearlong celebration. Each month this year, listeners win private KYGO 30 for 30 concerts for 30 of their friends during KYGO’s 30th year. This month’s installment features Gretchen Wilson on July 22nd. The station caps the month with KYGO’s 30th Anniversary Concert starring Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum on July 31st at Comfort Dental Amphitheatre.
