Prayer diary for December

These are shorter than normal, just in case time becomes even more difficult to find. They are no less valued or worthy, to God.
Monday

Lord, help me bring this Advent season the time of waiting to be patient with others as you are patient with me, Amen

Tuesday

Lord, help me to find time to seek you, to listen and to hear what you are calling me to do and be for you, Amen

Wednesday

Lord, help me to know that no matter how lonely, lost or low I feel, you are there for me, Amen

Thursday

Lord, help me to see your light and love in those who I meet, especially those I find challenging and difficult, Amen

Friday

Lord, help those who are struggling today, especially…… Amen

Saturday

Lord, in a world full of pain and suffering, of violence and hatred, may your love be shown and your light be seen and let it start with me, Amen

Sunday

Lord, as another week starts, help me to seek you in all my deeds, Amen

If you could write the prayers for January’s Bulletin, please contact Anne by December 27th

Finally …any used Christmas stamps?c:\users\user\pictures\20150715_090524.jpg

Isabelle Mullen was born very premature and only survived due to the wonderful care she received at Exeter premature baby unit. Her parents Shayne and Tamsin are now collecting used stamps to raise money for the unit. Please help by passing on stamps to Anne or Heather, who will make sure they arrive with Tamsin and Shayne. December 2015
Three Rivers Team
Looking back to November in brief.
Lezant lit up the skies

Lezant’s community bonfire and fireworks lit up the skies on November 5th. hotdogs and beans, and warming drinks were on offer as the community enjoyed the spectacle. Held at the rear of the church on a piece of land that has been left unattended for many years, not only does the bonfire give a centre focus for the celebrations but is helping the church to reclaim the land, and who knows what it will be able to be use for in the future?

Lezant church FULL to bursting

The Night at the Musicals event on the 7th was full, extra chairs had to be brought in, as people flocked to hear Bass/Baritone Darren Jeffery; Mezzo Soprano Shelley Coulter-Smith along with Soprano Cheryl Rosevear Accompanist Anthony Seddon, even though Shelley’s voice was suffering it was a fantastic evening of music from the musicals performed with great skill and gentle humour.

Daniel and the Lionshttps://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:and9gcrwnyt5dmzijycj-klkyor-lzyiyefpdil4bmmh5k-tebxf9k0d2g

The Open the Book team, took the story of Daniel and the Lions into our 4 schools and 1 preschool during November. Lions were selected from the pupils and they were given lion masks and they all thoroughly enjoyed their role. The theme around the story was about doing the right thing, even when it may not always be easy. An importance message of for all of us

Remembrance Services

Across the team, Remembrance services were held on the 9th and once again many people came to share in a time of silence and reflection for those who have died for their countries and those who still are. There was even a horse and rider at Lezant.
