Dinners & Teen Dances


  • Acceptable casual wear (jeans, t-shirts, sundresses, appropriate shorts)

  • Shorts, skirts, dresses, or skorts, must be at least mid-thigh length – i.e. Region will use the “fingertip” barometer…shorts should be no higher than level of longest fingertip when arms are held at side. If you have short arms and long legs, then the inseam must be at least 4 inches long.

  • Undergarments must not be visible prior to or during the dance/skit performance

  • No “see-through” or transparent attire.

  • No visible mid-sections.

  • Note -- Dress code is applicable to all events during teen conference activities. (Chapter disqualifications and/or penalties will be applied by the Regional Director for violations to the dress code)

  • Remember – any infractions, including dress code violations will incur a penalty to your entire team.

Step and Talent Show and Friday Night Dance


  • Wednesday Host Chapter Reception – Any HBCU paraphernalia

  • Thursday Night Dance attire – ALL WHITE

  • Friday Night Dance attire - PATRIOTIC

Senior Outing, Sports/Games Day, Community Service


  • Chapter T-Shirts -- Thursday for Sports Day/Game Day

  • Conference T-Shirts – Friday for Community Service and HBCU Civil Rights outing

    • During the Senior Outing, Seniors are encouraged to wear college logo apparel of college expected to attend

  • Shorts – appropriate lengths are required. Inseams should be at least 4 inches long and NO excessive bounty should be visible from the top or bottom of the shorts. Ideally, athletic shorts should be worn since we will be engaging in serious team based competitions. Same length rules apply for the shorts.

  • Hat/caps/sun visors. Note: no hats, caps, or visors should be worn in the hotel, only outside.

  • Sunscreen

Senior Gala


  • Dark Suit or tuxedo, bow tie, tie, or formal collar and dress shoes or dress jackets for males

  • Formal and/or semi-formal attire is suggested for females. (No mini-dresses)

  • Dresses should be modest and refrain from displaying any excessive bounty. Additionally, females with strapless gowns are asked to bring a wrap as the ballrooms can be quite cool in the evenings.
